And boy am I annoyed. Not that Wentz had a reasonably good game.

I'm annoyed because having not seen the game and only seeing the early game thread ON THIS BOARD, I was led to believe Wentz was having one of the best rookie performances of all time.

Now that I watched all the throws, I see TWO impressive plays. The scramble to hit Sproles and the last pass to Matthews over the shoulder. Yes, there were a few middle of the field routes he hit and he avoided pressure on occasion BUT THE MAJORITY of his throws were screens and dump offs! On top of that he has 2-3 passes that could have been picked and were ill advised altogether.

It was a good performance. But it WASN'T as good as the performance our own rookie QB had a few hours later. NO HOMER. Seriously, the scramble that Wentz had to hit Sproles was duplicated on three occasions by Dax, one for a completed sidelines pass and the other two for scramble first downs. On top of that Dax had very few dump offs and ZERO passes that were in danger zones for possible INTS.

Yes, Wentz looks to have a slightly stronger arm, but Dax has much LESS movement in the pocket, a place where Wentz is SUPPOSEDLY better.

Dak is more efficient with body effort before and during throws and during runs.

Both players played great for rookies. Dax played slightly better. But SOMEHOW on this board Wentz gets more love.

Unbelievable. Dallas is one of the worst football cities in America.

Wentz did that against Pittsburgh. It's hard not to be impressed.

What must the Rams be thinking?
Did what against the Steelers? It doesn't matter who its against. A screen is a screen. A dump off is a dump off. What did the Steelers do to stop him? I am evaluating the throws. The receivers are either open or their not. There is either pressure or there's not. Its either a hard throw to make or its not. Its either an audible or its not.

Wentz is good but yea you're right also he was 15-17 on throws 5 yards or less. Keeping defenses honest
Right so Wentz was 8-14 on passes beyond FIVE YARDS! Yeah, ALL-TIME performance there! Why don't we just rename this the WentZone. Save a letter for the effort. Risen probably already owns the .com

Complains about Wentz hype.

Decides to spend time breaking down each throw he makes to try to diminish the hype.

Like gasoline to put out a fire.

Makes sense.

That's what you got out of my post??!! Worst fans in America.

Hype Wentz all you want. But if you are going to do so hype Dak just the same or more. His performances are slightly better and he is a COWBOY.

None of that matters. The kid can play and is going to be very good. The NFC east looks like it will be the Wentz vs Dak show for the next 10 years. If the other two teams get good young QBs then it's going to be a wild ride for quite some time.

Cincinnati and Washington scored 16 points against Pittsburgh.

Wentz and the Eagles put up 34.

Spin it how you want to, that's impressive.

Its CERTAINLY not all Wentz. Is Wentz calling the plays? Is Wentz making tacklers miss? Is Wentz hitting 3rd and 4th reads??

What am I supposed to take out of your post?

DAX IS AZ GUD! NO HOMER! Seriously.

I am perfectly comfortable with where Prescott is right now, with this team.

And as for Wentz, I will care more when we play him.

Yes. Exactly. And sarcastically criticizing me is the type of passive aggressive comment that makes Dallas a horrible football town. You sound like Randy in Fort Worth.
