The Steeler's defense isn't that good. It's OK, but not great by any means. Their secondary is very suspect.

True Steelers defense hasn't been great in the last 2 years. But you can just see wentz isn't limited like rg3 and Kirk cousins. Same with Prescott his potential is actually higher than wentz I believe. What a hidden gem

Is Wentz making tacklers miss? Is Wentz hitting 3rd and 4th reads??
Well, somebody is doing that physical activity. Don't know who it would be if it isn't Wentz.

Perhaps he is just a big strapping ginger marionette that someone else is controlling.

Look, I get the hype is getting crazy with his own coach comparing him to every great QB that has played in the last thirty years.

But I don't think it is a reason to go into full outrage mode.

Yes. Exactly. And sarcastically criticizing me is the type of passive aggressive comment that makes Dallas a horrible football town. You sound like Randy in Fort Worth.
I was not sarcastically criticizing you.

I was directly criticizing you. With ALL CAPS.

And I wish I knew who "Randy in Fort Worth" is.

Which plays did he hit his third or fourth read? I didn't see one.

Wentz did that against Pittsburgh. It's hard not to be impressed.

What must the Rams be thinking?
He has a lot more opportunities to make things happen because his defense keeps giving him the ball back. He hasnt faced any adversity yet, at all. Not saying Dak has, im just saying, Dak has had the harder road so far.

I am more pissed about the Egirls replenishing their draft picks than how Wentz is playing. Now they can rebuild their O Line. That is something I can actually hate, and they did it by getting rid of spare parts.

I appreciate you coming on here and being the first in a long line of what I am sure will be examples of what I was complaining about with Dallas area fans.

I did the same thing after week two when Wentz beat the Bears, only to find out he had a rating in that game just slightly worse than Brock Osweiler's against the same Bears team the week before. He's throwing a lot of short stuff into the flats, and he makes some dumb decisions throwing into coverage or taking unnecessary hits.

He's still playing dang good football for a rookie QB, though. And when he uncorks one downfield, it looks effortless. A lot like Kaepernick's passes were early in his career before he lost his football marbles where you'd wonder how he got it that far, that fast, with that little arc.

Wentz definitely gets too much attention around here for my liking. But that's because we have a some fans up in the NE part of the country who believe the Eagles hype every season. The fact that they happen to largely be the same group that is unwilling to give the Cowboys any benefit of the doubt just makes it more irritating than it probably has to be.

And boy am I annoyed. Not that Wentz had a reasonably good game.

I'm annoyed because having not seen the game and only seeing the early game thread ON THIS BOARD, I was led to believe Wentz was having one of the best rookie performances of all time.

Now that I watched all the throws, I see TWO impressive plays. The scramble to hit Sproles and the last pass to Matthews over the shoulder. Yes, there were a few middle of the field routes he hit and he avoided pressure on occasion BUT THE MAJORITY of his throws were screens and dump offs! On top of that he has 2-3 passes that could have been picked and were ill advised altogether.

It was a good performance. But it WASN'T as good as the performance our own rookie QB had a few hours later. NO HOMER. Seriously, the scramble that Wentz had to hit Sproles was duplicated on three occasions by Dax, one for a completed sidelines pass and the other two for scramble first downs. On top of that Dax had very few dump offs and ZERO passes that were in danger zones for possible INTS.

Yes, Wentz looks to have a slightly stronger arm, but Dax has much LESS movement in the pocket, a place where Wentz is SUPPOSEDLY better.

Dak is more efficient with body effort before and during throws and during runs.

Both players played great for rookies. Dax played slightly better. But SOMEHOW on this board Wentz gets more love.

Unbelievable. Dallas is one of the worst football cities in America.

Carson Wentz status thus far. This is why they are all crowing, but the season is young for both Wentz and Dak.

Interesting. I did not know this.

Is that suppose to prove a point? Because it fails miserably. That rating is a horrible de-bunked metric. Good job being a Eagles fan though.
No, if I'm out to prove a point, you would know it as it would hit you like a mac truck. I was just pointing out why he is getting the hype.

That's why he is getting more love than Dak on this site? Makes NO sense. Your points hit like feathers Im afraid.

Meh. They gave up some players, ate some cash, got a huge bluebird from MIN when Teddy went down, and then hit on their big risk to find a QB. It sucks that they were able to get most of the way out of the hole that they dug and put themselves in head-first; and it sucks more that they hit on the QB after leveraging all those picks. But they did. So they get to fix their OL while we get to fix our DL, and we'll see who does a better job in the coming seasons here. At least it makes things interesting.

On a random, somewhat related note, calling my shot here: Bradford goes down with a multi-game injury in that MIN/PHI game. Without the LT, and against that defense, isn't that just the sort of thing you can see the Eagles being involved with someway? Not saying it'll be a cheapshot, it'd just be so Philly to trade a squeaky wheel, and then embarrass him and hurt him in his return game.
