I keep checking in every hour to see that we've traded for a WR

Why anyone would want a thirty-five year old has-been with two bad knees is beyond me? If Terry Glenn was healthy, he would have been a 'Phin by now.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. All I ask is that TG gets a phone call. If he's in FB shape and he's hungry to win a SB than sign him, if not close the casket. Just give the man a call though it only costs us $0.25 and whatever Jerry's time is for 5 minutes. Just a call please!
You much be convinced Glenn can pass a physical.

It's not about being in football shape or hungry to win a super bowl.

If you can go, your done.

Plus Stanback, Jefferson and Amendola.

Of that makes me feel better!!! Again we are going in with only 2 receivers!

Considering that we have all of our starters minus Koiser healthy for the start of the season I wouldn't be to worried. Last year we had Jaquees Reeves starting CB for us. So we should be good.

Stanback is at pratice and is the 3rd Wr.....he knows the plays.......adding another WR will not do more then what Stanback will do.

By Week 2.....we might have Hurd or Austin back.....

so why add another WR here to run fly patterns? Stanback can do that....even with a bum shoulder.

Nice post.... We'll be just fine for the opener with the crew we have and Stanback will be fine...

I have very little doubt TG can play. I have very little doubt TG can be trusted to play the entire season. I suspect that Wade does not want to bring TG in on a week to week basis. If they bring him in they will want to commit to him and vice versa. That complicates a complicated matter more.

We cannot count on Hurd or Austin being back for the next couple of weeks. Not saying they won't be back just don't count on it.

The problem is bringing in someone who can help now. Who can really do that? The answer is TG. Maybe Rector.

The answer awaits the Cleveland game. If we work well with Stanback and the 3 TEs then we may just wait on Austin and Hurd who will likely be back about the same time. And that likely will be another two to three games before Austin gets back. And two to four+ for Hurd.

I think Stanback, Witten, Bennett and F Jones can get us thru the Cleveland game without straightjacketing us too much.

Rector and TG suck.

screw Lelie, but a Jackson or a Brandon London signing is what I'm hoping for

Didn't Lloyd get signed by Miami?

I really don't see the huge impact of our recceiver situation. I mean what'd we have last year? Hurd is the only guy missing here. We now have Telles, who's good in his own right and that'll free up Witten in the passing game. Put Felx in the mix as well.

I'm sure Jefferson, if anything, could help spread things out a little with some speed. Throw him out there on a couple deep balls and keep the defense honest. It may turn out to be a long day for the OL but if it sways that direction, run Barber at them and sprinkle in some Felix.

I'm sorry. I just don't see it as all that bad.

and I CANNOT believe we have not :bang2: Super Bowl? with what? 2 WR's?
Where is TGlenn at least? I mean comeon Jerry! TO goes down in the 1st QTR what do we do?

You're just not committed enough. you should be checking in at least every five minutes.

I understand where you are coming from, but as others have said, even if we added some vet, he isn't going to contribute much this week anyway.

Remember back when we signed Peerless Price? It took him almost 3 games before he got any PT, and he still wasn't effective.

Stanback, Amendola, and Jefferson may not be all-pro, but at least they are familiar with the system and should be able to recognize the play call when Romo makes it in the huddle.

Bottom line: Stanback, Amendola, and Jefferson will be better than anybody we bring in at this point, at least for the first few games.

But then after that, expect our real #3, Austin, to be back and playing.

I saw him make a catch this preseason, but for the life of me don't remember who it was for

He's with the Bears....

I keep checking in every hour to see if Tina Fey has responded to my love sonnets and Hair-doll-a-grams, but alas, my sweet ignores my advances.

My life is over.

I hope Stanback can make the most of his oppurtunity in this game.

GO COWBOYS!

Listen, if you're an optimist fine, more power to ya - myself I try and remain optimistic but I'm also a realist and what I see is a depleted, sub par WR corps.
I don't see how anyone here cannot be at least a little concerned. Nobody is saying the Sky is falling, but I do see some cracks in it.

Take another look!!! TO, Crayton, Witten, and Stanback for the opener. Doesn't look depleted to me at all. Infact, I bet many teams wish they could open up the season with that set of WR's. We're fine, relax and enjoy the show..:D
