I kinda hope Rush Starts

I've shared my qualifications, what are yours? Madden? I'd really like to know what backs up your opinions.....I respect most of them, but some are a bit off the wall and I'd like to know what backs them up....no disrespect, just wondering..

LOL.......qualifications? :lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2:

Give your team the best chance to win with the best record because nothing is guaranteed. Dak's okay? play him. Don't disrupt what is working.

I think the question comes down to the seeding for the playoffs.

If some think they really have a shot at that 1 spot and the bye, they want him to play. If not, this game is not critical.

The real question has not been answered. What is the risk to him if he plays in this game? Does he risk more down time and can this be a longer term ailment?

The other question I have is how will this affect his effectiveness. That's his plant foot, will it alter accuracy and velocity? Will Zimmer just send the farm after him to flush him and get him on the move to test that calf? Can he throw on the run with that calf?

Here's where I am, and I am hurt nobody asked. I do not care about that 1 seed or the bye. I want this team playing every week because I do not know McC's ability to get them revved up but I have seen the others in the past and that was not good. They need to have all 8 cylinders humming in the playoffs.

This is a young team and not borderline playoff savvy. If they need some down time, give it to them in the last game if that's not a seeding situation but the way the East looks, the Cowboys have more than 1 L to give up.

I do not think Rush's performance affects this season as they will not have time to pull a trade off and if they do, it will not be good. At least Rush knows this offense. Although they might try and get Dalton back since he was here last season.

In the meantime, what backup is going to come in for any of the contenders and really make a difference? The only reason the NFC 1 loss teams have 1 loss is the QB1 on each team.

To me, this comes down to the severity of his injury. If it's matter of him rushing in and making it worse, then there's more at stake. We could lose multiple games. I would think different if it was a win or go home situation.

Dak has one day to go from sore to: not sore and ready to rumble! It's, seemingly, not quite enough time to recover from a sore calf that's said to be the case Friday. Stephen sounds like it's a cut and dried deal that Dak would sit out if he's still sore Saturday.
H-m-m. We shall see! Oh, the suspense of it all . . . :omg:

The Cowboys are 3 games ahead of absolute trash. Technically, they are 5 games ahead of me in the NFL standings.

As of right now, Dallas is tied in the loss column with TB, GB, LAR and Arizona. One loss and Dallas could drop to the 4th seed as the worst division leader. If your ambition is more than 1 and out in the playoffs, these games matter.

Let's be honest. The only reason we don't have a better backup is because Jerry doesn't want to appear as if he's bringing a challenge to Dak.
Dak is the No. 1. That shouldn't preclude us from acquiring a backup who can help us win a few games if Dak isn't available.
To not have an adequate backup is INEXCUSABLE!!!

And, yes, I favor bringing Cam in.

If we finish #4 our super bowl chances are less than zero... more likely having a comet destroy the Earth than the Cowboys making it through the 2nd place NFC West team AND the #1 seed AND At Lambeau.

If Dak gets hurt for an extended period of time our playoff chances go way down. I'd rather miss 1-2 games maybe 3 if the risk is losing Dak for 6 and miss the playoffs.

It will give Dak time to get healthy, it will allow us to see what he can do....if he fails, maybe we pull off a trade for a backup......We are 3 games ahead with a favorable schedule coming up.....
Ideally, I want Dak 100% but this may be a good time to see what we got and what we need....Salud!

As usual your coaching logic makes good sense, to me anyway.

Yes there is. If risking more downtime to Prescott is the reality, then starting Rush and losing is preferable to the possibility Prescott has to be helped off the field.

If Dak isnt fit enough to start, thats bad. Nothing good about it. If Dak could play, but they are just being precautionary, its still bad. ONLY good scenario is Dak starting.

For this one game, not the season.

I'd rather not risk falling to the dreaded #4 seed in the NFC which is death especially this year and with the newer playoff scheme. I think the new playoff scheme isn't just about money for the league but it's also meant to penalize the #4 seeds which previously were often 9-7 ish teams that had it too easy.
