i know i have sounded negative about my 'boys on this board

Tired of losing? We've had several winning years in a row now.

We could be rooting for the Raiders, for crying out loud. Or the Chiefs or Lions. How would that be?

I wish people would get it through their heads that just because we're Cowboys fans, and we've won a lot in the past, we aren't owed ANYTHING in the present.

Sometimes I wonder if this is a knitting forum instead of a football one. OMG, we haven't won in soooooo long, I can't take it anymore!

No offense, but you younger fans who only knew the Jimmy days have to understand that those times are not reality. It was one of the great runs in NFL history, and it's *not* likely to be repeated. You're only setting yourself up for massive disappointment if you hold this team to that standard.

Bottom line, some of our fans just need to sack up and enjoy the games for what they are. Plain and simple.

Still doubt you are really a fan after all those posts trashing the boys. Always taking the pessimistic side. Always downplaying any positive news. So forgive me if I doubt that YOU EVER WERE A FAN.

im just so sick and tired of losing year after year. i get my hopes up every year only to be let down by losing when it matters. i hate that i dont trust romo like i used too. i hate that my coworkers laugh at me when we get humiliated like 44-6 last year. or losing the last game in texas stadium.i hate when people bring up 13 yrs of no playoff wins. i hate it!!

i cheer every TD like i just won the lottery and curse every 4 letter word when we the other team scores.

i use to take winning for granted back in the glory days.

now i would kill to have another run like that again.

13 yrs of misery is just too long.

on sunday i will cheer on my 'boys to victory so i can get the nasty taste of 44-6 out of my mouth.

I would say the players themselves want to get that 44-6 loss nasty taste out of their mouth as well. According to coaches and players that loss has been a motivating factor this off season. This team knows they did not live up to their expectations. Nothing they can do to change the past they can however focus on the future. This is a new season and a new chance.
