mai am reallygetting excited about Miles Austin....idk i feel him and Roy will be a dynamic Duo...Mix that with Crayton in the slot....And Marty B and Witten tearing up Safeties and LB's...Then the Cat coming out the backfield for passes

idc what anyone says, we stay healthy, we are super dangerous, But i really feel Austin will be a Colston for us sometime around the 5th game, reporters, espn, everyone will be talking about him, and how he is the key, i feel it....

he will explode

Hope you are right, but I think he is going to sit behind Crayton. At least to start the season.

Hope your right. Our offense has enough talent to move the chains and score points. That's for sure.

I don't know which side of the ball we are going to be more dominant on - I am expecting both sides to be top 5..I am so pumped for this season, I cannot wait to be in attendance for the home opener!

The defense, definitely. Whether or not the offense rises to that level depends on the performance of the OL.

My initial thought was defense as well, however, the offense has carried us recently and is stacked with playmakers. You are correct though, the offense will depend on the OL.

I hope you're right. I've always liked Austin and thought he could be a great #2 receiver. His biggest problem is he always gets injured. Hopefully this year it will be different.

Sometimes injuries happen....even strings of injuries. I know it's been done to death, but I think of Jimmy Smith. Here's a guy with a ton of promise that just never seemed to catch a break with injuries. He would always show up in the preseason......It was unfortunate that he never could stay healthy.

There's no telling how good our team could've been with him and Irvin.

This is why I can never understand why folks are so eager to get rid of a guy after his second year......Folks were ready to cut Austin before TC last year.

You need to exercise some patience with young guys at times. The three year rule is perfect. That's why I'm willing to wait until the end of camp for guys like Stanback (although he has one foot in the grave...the other's on a banana peel).

I was very excited last training camp because I felt Miles Austin was ready to contribute as a receiver and then he got hurt covering a kickoff following his TD catch in Denver.

When Austin came back, he posted 3 TDs in four weeks and just missed 2 more (bad angle in GB, pass through hands vs Cincy). Then Tony Romo went down and Austin got hurt again the same game Romo returned.

Austin and Romo just need to be on the field together healthy and good things will follow, IMO.

We also have Roy Williams playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Patrick Crayton, too. Trick C spent his off-season focusing on improving his speed and cutting ability at the Michael Johnson clinic. Sam Hurd is somewhat under the radar after missing almost all of last season, but he also worked his tail off trying to improve speed and quicks.

Questions remain about our receiving core and in the end they all have to do it on the field, but I like their chances.

There's no reason why he can't be a number 1 WR, really. Our version of TJ Hoosyourmama.

Frankly, I think the Austin hype is setting everyone up for a big disappointment. Crayton will be the No.2 receiver, and I think Hurd beats out Austin for No.3. He's just a more polished receiver. I'll take his skills over speed any day.

Frankly I think you're dead wrong. Hurd most certainly is not in the mix for #3 receiver. He gets almost no reps with first team. I'm pretty certain that in 11 on 11s Austin is the teams number one receiver in terms of catches and yards.

We all have our opinions on Miles Austin and his ability or inability to help the offense as a wide receiver.

I firmly believed Austin was ready to help the team in such a role last year only to be limited by injuries to himself and Tony Romo.

In the end, he will either do it on the field or be another "never was."

Here's what Bryan Broaddus thinks, he's a former NFL scout now working radio for GAC.

Dallas WR Miles Austin has looked very impressive this morning catching passes all over the field. Austin looks to be playing at a different speed than the other receivers. He is able to get separation in an instant.

normally i agree but we have the skill guys already in williams and crayton but you have to have a guy that can stretch the feild to keep the secondary honest thats just the way it is.

now im trying not to get too excited about him because we know he is capable of being productive and the 'boys wouldnt be high on him if he didnt have skills but if you are injury prone youre injury prone you cant help that we just have to hope he stays healthly. i think if we can get about 13 games out of him he can get us around 600-750 yards. lets all hope for the best for him in the meantime

Just a few days into camp and suddenly this team is going to be dominant on both sides of the ball.

I'd wait until they are facing someone who isn't on their team before making that comment.

Yeah, because we know no other team has optimistic fans.

Just wait until we play the Raiders in a few days.

We'll suck again....Romo will need cut.....We should be trading for Matt Jones...What happened to Ware, he didn't get 3 sacks?

This is the fun part of the football year. It's like waiting for Christmas as a kid. I always imagined getting the Atari 2600.....I was disappointed for 2 years. Eventually I got one.

Every year I hope for a Super Bowl....maybe this is the year.

Why don't you wait til you see the guy play before you open your mouth in the issue. I was one of the most vocal posters against letting TO go largely because it scared the crap out of me who we'd have as #2 and #3s. But after actually seeing the guy play I'm convinced he's 100% legit. He could ne a #1 for us he's that good.

Actually, while Romo has been our starting QB our offense has been dominant. Once Phillips took over the defense last year the defense was slowly but surely approaching that level. With the additions of Sensabaugh, Olshansky, and Brooking, and the maturation of Jenkins and Scandrick, I fully expect this defense to finally play to its potential. While it was a valiant effort, I advise you try again.
