According to my armchair, online scouting knowledge, this will be a bad year for wide receivers, so if we are going to get one, we will need to do so early.
Here are some players to focus on:
WR Dez Bryant, Oklahoma State
Explosive receiver with good size-speed ratio that can also return kicks.
OT Trent Williams, Oklahoma
Its about time we started looking for a serious replacement for Flo. Oklahoma breeds good linemen and he will be another one.
C Kristofer O'Dowd, USC
Gurode isn't getting any younger and Proctor is not a serious replacement. I don't even know why he is still on the team but O'Dowd would be a great starter for many years.
DE Carlos Dunlap, Florida
There aren't many 3-4 DE prospects in this coming draft either and Dunlap is the best of them. However, he is pegged to go in the top 10. So unless we have a horrible season, we have no shot unless we trade up.
DT Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska
Another guy pegged to go in the top 10, but he would definitely be worth the trade up. Besides being a top-notch gap stuffer and pass rusher, I found this most impressive about him:
"He also blocked two kicks and returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns."
