For starters i would watch most of Quentin Tarantino's movies. Expect for From Dusk Till Dawn which i thought was average at best.

Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street is a great movie.

As far as 1980's movies go, a few must see's would be. The breakfast club , The goonies , full metal jacket ,
The Indiana Jones collection , Back to the Future movies , Ferris Bueller's day off , Gremlins, Risky business

The Shinning is a must see.

There are so many good ones.

I'm sure you probably seen a few of those.

Oh, i have seen back to the future movies (at least 1st 2), indiana jones, breakfast club - though years after they came out.
saw a few minutes of the shining - did not like it too much...
got the hell scared out of me when i watched elm street movie with college friends.
not familiar with the rest, so would take a look!

saw some parts of wolf of wall street
it was ok, but i think there are several in this basic them.
which movie was it that coined the statement "greed is good"?

That was "Gordon Gecko" (Michael Douglas) in "Wall Street" from '87.
