Going to a "whiskey tasting" event tonight. Not sure what to expect. Went to one a couple years ago and it had five whiskeys, only one of them worth wasting taste buds on. I could have pulled five better whiskeys out of my liquor cabinet at home. But, like I do each Sunday when I watch the Boys, I will approach it with an open mind and hope.

I do love me some whiskey - bourbon, scotch, Irish, Canadian, depending on the mood.

Could you kinda' break it down to me on how that's conducted? I've walked past the 'wine tasting' booth at TOTAL WINES when their holding one but never lingered,,,so,like how much of a sampling per batch are you given,is their as 'spit-bucket' & what kind of long winded spiel about the historic greatness of the distillery being presented do you have to listen to between free shots?

I've just enjoyed the last slug of backwash outta' this current 1/2 gal. Jug of Jim Beam,,,I'll comb my hair&tuck in my shirt, you can pick me up out by my mailbox @GhostOfPelluer as I'll be outside waiting ,so I can go with you:thumbup:

Sorry, you didn’t miss much. Turns out it was a rum and whiskey tasting. My wife made the plans. The three whiskeys were ok but nothing I’d spend money on. Two of the three rums were ok.

They only give you about half an ounce to try. Just enough to get the flavor and the smell. Then they always have bottles that you can order if you like them.

Two of the whiskeys were based out of California. The other from Tennessee. I ended up drinking craft beers most of the night.

I did get to see Extreme Midget Wrestling, which was the highlight of my night.

so,was that Tennessee whiskey worthiest of the three?& what kinda' price per unit was they fixing to "set the hook" into you for a 5th? Or was it volume purchase only? ,,,midgets are a creepiod of my casing-liners BRO!,,, NEGATORY!,,, my 2nd ol' lady ,who hide out up in Tahoe used to talk about an absolutely demonic short-shrubbled dude that would head-butt dudes in the n-sack region on the way to the head just out of meanness! ,,,you can't rightfully stomp holy hell outta' him either,,, er, ,,,:huh:,,,, she also relayed to me he sported a Weiner of prideful proportions:facepalm:,, apparently he'd " when in doubt, just whip it out",,, o_O



* personally, I'd of prolly stomped that 'little persons lungs out' if he ever head-butted my nutsack while belly up to the baro_O

The Tennessee one was the best but they wanted $59 a bottle and for that I’m buying single malt scotch
