I misspelled his name, didnt I?

Anyway, surprised no one has commented on the fact that the 3 plays that Felix sprung on where designed with our new FB as the lead blocker. And block he did - taking out 2 guys on the last long run.

He also showed some decent speed for a FB after a catch, although he dropped another.

Anyway, the report on him was that he could block and not catch. Well, he can certainly block, that's for sure.

Good call. He made some mistakes in the game but he did come up with some big blocks to help spring Felix on some nice runs.

Absolutely great block by Fiammetta. I really hope that he gets more snaps in the future. Like at least 30 snaps per game.

I was happy overall with his play and for the record I was thrilled that we signed him.

He did miss one catchable pass however but I think it was at least the correct route that he ran.

I was bummed when they pulled he and Bennett off the field on that first and goal series.

Ideally I think you want him and bennett both in there with Felix or Murray running it... not neither of them and Choice.. good grief...

You would have thought one of those 3 commentators would have mentioned taking out 2 defenders with a single block.

I'm glad you pointed this out. I went back and looked at those runs. Some truly outstanding blocks. Too bad ESPN didn't pick up on the play where he took out 2 players.

I like the fact that he seems to be pretty athletic. He's not the typical slow, no-threat besides blocking FB you usually see.

One of the more underrated players from last night, in my opinion. I thought he helped big-time.

absolutely. made some nice blocks and appears to be an above average athlete for a FB. Looks like more than a short-term fix.

The panthers are struggling mightily to run the ball after getting rid of Fiammetta,he needs more time to gel with the offense.

...I'm a backer of Red: I'm a fan truly, but not getting a TRUE fullback in from the get go this year was a MISTAKE: I think we score more vs. the Jets and Niners if we did

Fiammetta did great. Would have liked to seen him in there on 1st and goal from the 2 instead of a draw out of shotgun, but what do I know.

Enough.

You know enough.

That was awesome! I can't wait to see that again tonight. Yeah, the commentators seemed far more impressed by an illegal hit on a defenseless receiver.

How many of us saw the block at the time it happened? This isn't a case of the announcers refusing to comment, they probably just missed it.

madden approved:
He has 82 speed in madden 12:) ....also 77 trucking tied the highest on our team with Murray.

I seen it. I was like danngggg FB smashed 2 foreskins (who that sounds kind of ....well you know:laugh2: )

I loved it even more when I found out the guy who took most of the blow was landry.

Huh?.... I saw it real time and I never said nor implied that the announcers "refused" to comment on the block.

Going back and watching that, No. 50 essentially took himself out by running at Fiammetta instead of into the hole Jones ran through. Not sure why he did that unless he thought Jones was going to cut inside of Fiammetta instead of outside. It almost looked like he thought Fiammetta had the ball.

I do think if 50 had filled the outside hole, Jones would have cut inside Fiammetta's block, but I don't think it would have resulted in as big of a run.
