The midwest scout is on the Fan and he's still emphasizing that both these guys LOVE football, are great character people, and are very hard workers.

Love the emphasis on character. Sounds like that was a big focus this year.

If this was a regular draft then both of these guys were REACHES.
But it ain't and they ain't.
For THIS draft these guys are fine.

I like these picks after reviewing some info on them.

Williams, based on his bio and analyis from NFL.com, sounds like he will be a very good player for us. THey compare him to James Harrison....can't get that comparison without having some serious ability.

Set the record with 14 FF....that is outstanding....ran a 4.4. What else you need out of the 3rd round?

Brewster is just a massive mauler. I really have no problem with that. Last year we had no one to turn to when Kosier went down, maybe he is the answer....

And we have the first pick in the 4th, we could still grab one of these guys that people are bellyaching for ...

Both of these guys follow my draft axioms, so I am happy with how our front office is handling things so far.

I do still wish we would have gotten more for our #51 pick though.

Not sure about Brewster, only cause I know nothing about him, but I love the Williams pick.

Wait and see for me. I'm not down, but there is still a long way to go too. Williams looks solid but alot of us thought Carp was too, so who knows with LB's. Pretty tough position to draft, and so are Olinemen. VERY tricky positions to draft. Boom or bust type stuff.Thought we would've traded back up to take another 3rd rounder by now....hmmmm........
