Did you hear him dance around the question Rich Eisen asked him about if that was Romo throwing all these picks like rivers the set would be on fire. Deion's answer was a joke. He said san Diego isn't Dallas or new York, and the expectation wasn't for the chargers to be in the super bowl. Who picked Dallas to go this year. Sanders should be ripping rivers apart, but instead he's giving him a pass.

I don't think that's what he said. I understood him to say the reason why Phillips isn't getting criticized as heavily is that he's in a small market unlike NY or Dallas.

And that's true.

Romo gets way more criticism because he plays for the Cowboys, a very popular, very marketable team. Rivers is getting his share of criticism, but few care comparatively speaking because the Chargers aren't as "popular" as the Cowboys.

I don't see why Cowboys fans can't understand that.

Only one picked us to win our division, only four picked us to be a wild card, and only one picked us to go to the Super Bowl (and lose).

Because NFL players grew up watching Deion, and he does invest in younger player. He brings them over his house for film sessions. I don't like him much as an analyst (I like him more as a culture analyst), but what many fail to recognize is that Deion does reach out to young players and would-be players in teaching them how to get better.

Deion pretty much reacted like a fan about Romo few weeks ago. I don't know what he said today since I didn't see it, but its pretty plain that Deion is pretty reactionary and doesn't bring a lot of insight about the game or players, maybe DBs being exception.

So do lot of other players, including Irvin ( lot of WRs around NFL work with him in Off season). But Irvin doesn't toot his horn about it or so do other Players like Cris Carter etc.

I know what Deion has said about Romo. I'm speaking about the comments I heard him say tonight. So you're really not in a position to judge how Deion makes sense to me since you didn't hear him and don't have complete and critical information from which to criticize my interpretation.

Regardless how he feels about Romo, I interpreted him to say that Rivers isn't getting criticized like Romo because he's not in a market like Dallas. He didn't say Rivers isn't getting criticized because he didn't choke early in his career like Romo.

So I didn't judge his comments to be aimed at Romo. He was just making a comparison. And I agree with that. Romo gets criticized because the Dallas Cowboys quarterback position is judged like no other position. That's just fact.

You can hate himn all you want. And I don't particularly like his analysis of football games. But the way I interpreted his statement, he is correct.
