That story about the 69 kids - that has got to be false.
There is no way back then that any woman ( and especially in RUSSIA which was even worse) could have survived trying to carry that many to term.
Not to mention there is no way she kept having twins - let alone all the rest.
During the communist regime there were stories like that that made Soviets look like super men. They tried to take credit for inventing virtually everything. This is just more of that BS.
Actually it is true. Feel free to research it yourself and settle it in your mind.

The wealthy aristocrats in "those days" were quite the jackrabbits.

Last year I went to Germany and did some sightseeing. One of the places we checked out was a post-rennassiance era palace called Schloss Solitud...One of the Dukes that lived and ruled from there had had over 40 illegitimate children during his youth...

I guess the nobility back then had nuthin' better to do but hump other nobility. :D

Everyone has "hard luck stories" in their own life's perspective and nothing should be demeaned only because someone else went through something harder

Not as busy as Mama. Do the math. 27 pregnancies at 9 months apiece is 20 years and 3 months of her life that she was pregnant.

Talk about a life sentence.

Its really more like 10 months so its even worse....
