Man, LVE still has this coming season to prove that he’s worth a new contract in Dallas. The team even said they want him to be there for 5 more years. It’s all up to him.
Smith also has a chance to turn things around. He just has to play better.
They both can bet on themselves.
‘Dallas hasn’t chosen anyone over anyone at this point.
Umm, they are both still on the team.Lve has his problems but smith is a bigger liability on the field than LVE imo
I think this season, if they aren’t performing well for Quinn… they’re going to sit down and they’ll let someone else do it.To tell you the truth, I am ready to move on from both. I would be making calls to teams seeing what I could get for both of them. Neither can cover a RB or TE and neither are worth much blitzing. LVE can't stay healthy and Jaylon excels at number of tackles 5-10 yards past the line of scrimmage.
Jerry likes them so probably stuck with both. They do sell tickets and fans buy their jerseys.
Yes, but Jaylon has been able to stay on the field. That's why in a nutshell.Lve has his problems but smith is a bigger liability on the field than LVE imo

I love the this draft for that alone, if Parsons and Cox cant shake up this drama LB core nothing can.I think this season, if they aren’t performing well for Quinn… they’re going to sit down and they’ll let someone else do it.
They now realize that they aren’t the chosen ones after this draft. That should light a fire under them. They both do have ability so it isn’t out of the question for one or both to turn things around.
The understanding that they’ll lose their jobs if they don’t perform should have them both in Quinn’s playbook and doing what is asked of them. We’ll see.
The good thing is that the team now has plenty of options if they don’t. IMO, the team has played it right this offseason.
Jaylon's contract makes it impossible for us to not move forward without him.Lve has his problems but smith is a bigger liability on the field than LVE imo
I hope LVE and Jaylon both can turn it around and succeed, but the drafting of Parsons and Cox is clearly sending a very defined message, and not picking up that 5th year didnt surprise you did it?Jaylon's contract makes it impossible for us to not move forward without him.
As for LVE, what makes you think we are not moving forward with LVE? He's had successful surgery to repair his neck and rehabbed himself back to health. He's hungry to prove himself. There was nothing like losing that 5th-year option to motivate him. Speaking of which, According to NFL Network’s Jane Slater, his agent stated that the fragility of the salary cap is what prevented the team from picking up the 5th-year option. That would have paid him $9.1 million in 2022, fully guaranteed. Worth repeating... It wasn't his health that concerned the Cowboys to nix that 5th-year options, it was just the weaken salary cap.

There you go again, always speaking that stupid truth againNot to mention that if Dallas had picked up LVE’s option, everyone would be saying they’re stupid for doing it because he can’t stay healthy and hasn’t played well since his rookie season.
There would be fans saying that Jerry picked up the option just because he didn’t want it to look like he made a mistake in drafting him.
The team is finally not coddling guys who don’t deserve it. Good job as far as I’m concerned.
