I miss that swagger TO brought

It's kind of funny that the only two receivers to even get in the stratosphere of Rice's TD total(Moss, Owens) are both terrible teammates for different reasons. Both of them are probably going to retire with zero rings too.

Cincy has taken a gigantic step backwards by getting away from their running game/defensive philosophy from last year and trying to spread the ball out and becoming the TO offense this year. Lots of empty yards, very few wins.

My response to this thread is "What swagger? The Bengals are 2-6."

Dude put 140 on Pitt w/ Palmer at QB. If Palmer was 1/2 his '07 version, that would have been a win.

At 2-6, they are one game better than Dallas, but which team puts forth more effort. Swagger or not, you can't hate the man for being good

TO played hard and didn’t quit. This can’t be said about some of the losers on this team.
He also played with emotion. Sure he might have played for some of the wrong reasons (Stats and Pub), at least he gave maximum effort.
I’ll take a “me” player who plays hard than an average player that quits.

So what's the point of having swagger if it doesn't spread to your teammate and produce wins?

Swagger means nothing if it doesn't result in a win.

"He got KOed, but I love his swagger." :laugh1:

I don't understand your point. There is no shame in losing. There is shame in quitting.

One team didn't quit and was in it against a top 3 team, the other (Dallas) made the Jags look like the 07 Patriots.

There is no pride, personal or collectively on the Cowboys.

some of these responses are pathetic. first he was washedup and a bad teammate. now hes just a bad teammate and nobody wants to admit to him not being washed up. just want to point out that his team was losing when that has absolutely nothing to do with his swagger or being washed up.

Many football experts around here are having a bad year. But then most watch football from a fantasy league box score and not on the field.

Guru, you are not going to get people to admit they were wrong about him being done, all they have to hang their hat on is that his team is losing, even though we are worse. We are worse and we are quitters. Hes not washed up, and he is not grinning and cheesing on the side line when he is losing. As a matter of fact he says hes embarrassed where they are. He caught a bunch of balls and scored touchdowns last night but did he look happy. NO another lie people have told about him. Has he made mistakes...YES but I would take 54 TOs over the 50 some odd quitters on this team.

That was one hell of a hit he took from Polamalu and he bounced right back up and looked ready for more.

The guy is a physical freak, but unfortunately his head isn't screwed on quite right.

He just talks a lot, and that's it. Maybe a little too honestly at times.

Always shows up. Always produces. Never in trouble with the law. Great player.

This is just to show how childish alot of these "grown men" are. I'm quite sure everybody on here is older than I am. I was in the threads where TO was with Buffalo and everybody was yukking it up telling all of them he wasnt washed up at all. "ahahahahahaha retire TO u suck blah blah". Now look at them. Disgusting. Chosen one at this point they don't need to say they were wrong. The rest of the world knows TO is still a beast. They can keep listening to the "unnamed sources" that say TO is finished for their proof.:lmao:.......and this thread will probrably be closed very soon since almost every mod dislikes TO.

The only TO thread that got closed was one that was dead for a week and got bumped. We do that to all threads, not just TO threads. Read the Guidelines.

While on the subject of the Guidelines and you reading them, I don't advise you to publicly discuss how this forum is run. PM the Mods if you have an issue. Normally, doing this is an automatic 7 day vacation. If you dislike how we run this forum, you are invited to log out and lurk. You're catching a break right now that will not be offered again.

As to TO, I don't care if he is the best WR in the NFL statistically. We are a better team without him and I wouldn't take him back with a gun to my head. His actions towards his QB last night were once again proof he is too stupid to get it. I hope they stop throwing it to him. It would serve him right. They won't dump him because he is Chad's buddy. He'd have been on the waiver wire today if I were Marvin Lewis. Cincy is 2-6 and his grousing will only make it worse.

What actions were those? He was talking with Carson. Do you know what was said? Of course you don't. You said he was washed up and you were DEAD WRONG. You are something else.

Really could have fooled me. Did I miss a few years somewhere?

With TO 31-17. Without TO 12-12 and a complete team collapse.

So much better. I think it's been pretty much proven that Garrett was a much bigger problem than TO.

I do not care what he said to Carson. He's got a reputation for this and he still doesn't care.

Yeah, you missed 2009 where we improved over 2008, his last year here.

2010 is a debacle. It wouldn't be any better with swollen head Owens. In fact, we'd be worse because the team would be divided again.
