The only TO thread that got closed was one that was dead for a week and got bumped. We do that to all threads, not just TO threads. Read the Guidelines.

While on the subject of the Guidelines and you reading them, I don't advise you to publicly discuss how this forum is run. PM the Mods if you have an issue. Normally, doing this is an automatic 7 day vacation. If you dislike how we run this forum, you are invited to log out and lurk. You're catching a break right now that will not be offered again.

As to TO, I don't care if he is the best WR in the NFL statistically. We are a better team without him and I wouldn't take him back with a gun to my head. His actions towards his QB last night were once again proof he is too stupid to get it. I hope they stop throwing it to him. It would serve him right. They won't dump him because he is Chad's buddy. He'd have been on the waiver wire today if I were Marvin Lewis. Cincy is 2-6 and his grousing will only make it worse.

He did not do anything to carson. TO was smiling and telling him to not worry about it, then he went and listened in behind the bench where carson was talking to (i think the qb coach). TO was not irate or anything of the nature. That I biased TO hate from a TO hater looking for him to do wrong.

Yeah, you missed 2009 where we improved over 2008, his last year here.

2010 is a debacle. It wouldn't be any better with swollen head Owens. In fact, we'd be worse because the team would be divided again.

And you are ignoring 13-3 with him the year before. We lost in the same round, because with him we had a bye. We actually won more games with in less opportunities. We were a game away from the playoffs with our pro bowl qb gone for a fourth of a season. BIIG IMPROVEMENT:rolleyes:

One question...HOS, DallasEast, and the rest of the TO Hate Squad....ONE QUESTION!!!!!

Take your hate away...IS HE AS WASHED UP AS YOU THOUGHT?

"As I thought"?

Um.

When exactly did I state that Terrell Owens was "washed up" or implied that he was "washed up" in some other sense?

No, he is not washed up as I thought.

Ask me if I care. I would never want the worthless piece of crap back. Not at a veteran minimum. Not for free. He is a cancer.

Was that so hard Hostile? Being stubborn isn't healthy. Even I admit TO isn't a good teammate because he can't handle adversity.

Dallas East I sincerely apologize (no sarcasm) if you never said that. I grouped you in with without checking my facts, and that was presumptuous of me.

I will admit when I am wrong, but not if I don't think I am. He's playing well enough for me to acknowledge it. I will never care. He's worthless as a football player because he is only about himself. Cincy has fallen from 1st to worst in the AFC North and I am not shocked. They let Turd Owens in the door. They have no one but themselves to blame for the stench.

You should care, because you stated it as fact as recently as this year. It was really wishful thinking. Your disdain for the guy made you ignore the fact his numbers were down because of romos injury, and then no line, running back or qb in buffalo.

You really tickle me on this subject because you are normally such a voice of reason.

PS...TO would not be on my team, well let me say my cowboy team at this point either. This is not a TO campaign, this is a see what the next excuse will be post.

I still am a voice of reason. He felt he was more important than the Dallas Cowboys and he is not. He almost divided the locker room. He turned a couple of players against Tony Romo and Jason Garrett.

That is why he is gone. That is why Tony Romo barely acknowledged him in the HOF game.

He can't stop talking about the Dallas Cowboys. The team is not talking about him though, are they?

I do not hate the guy, but I do not respect him as a football player because he thinks he is more important than his team. Good riddance.

Voice of reason...out.

Garrett probably turns players against himself just like he has turned most of the fan base. If TO was turning players against him it was only because he was pointing out how horrible of a job he was doing. And these people are professionals, I don't care if they all hate each other and take sides, they all need to be able to put that behind them come Sunday and play good football. If they fail to do that, then that's on them, not some "cancer."

BraveHeart, I realize Austin wouldn't have had his coming out party if TO was still here, but that is a fault of the coaches, not T.O.

What would have been better (in 2008 and 2009) is T.O. and Austin at the same time. But the coaches failed to see that.

Once again emotions talking, not reason. Eagles did great with TO there first year. The Cowboys Improved with TO. Cincy was not as good as good as everyone thought. TO is not the reason the bengals are worse. TO is not the reason we didnt make the playoffs the year we cut him. TO has brought a lot of the dislike for him upon himself, but you and many others give him too much credit. If one man can make hate a player or coach that is doing a good job, then your team sucks and is heartless anyway. Then again maybe you are right, because our team right now sucks and is heartless.

You want to talk about reason? Let's talk about it.

Why did the San Francisco 49ers Draft Turd Owens in the 3rd round? Because they felt he was a diamond in the rough. Turns out they were right. Fantastic WR.

Why did they trade him away? Because in a Playboy article after a bad season he attacked his team and in particular his QB and his coaches. How many times do you TO defenders need to hear Michael Irvin bash this before it sinks into your heads that this is stupid?

Why did Baltimore want him? Fantastic WR.

Why did he never go to Baltimore? Spoiled rotten, self important brat wanted to play with Donovan McNabb.

Why did the Eagles want him? Fantastic WR.

Why did the Eagles suspend him and ultimately waive him? Once again, he attacked his QB. The guy he wanted to play with. Stupidity follows him like a shadow.

Why did the Cowboys want him? Fantastic WR.

Why did they part ways with him and eat a 9 million dollar salary? Once again, he went after his QB and coaches. He tried to divide the locker room and nearly succeeded.

Why did the Buffalo Bills want him? To sell tickets. Don't kid yourself. There is a reason why he only got a 1 year deal.

Why did they not re-sign him? They had seen enough.

Why did Cincinnati sign him to yet another 1 year contract? Because his QB and WR buddy lobbied the team to do it. That's right, the QB he was yelling at the other night, was one of his supporters. Loyalty is not a trait of Turd Owens. Might be why he has 4 children by 4 different women and isn't married to any of them.

Why will Cincinnati likely let him go when the year is over? So they can improve.

I'll throw you Turd Owens fans a bone here. He is the only player in the NFL to score a TD against all 32 tams. If on November 21 he can score a TD against the Bills, he will have scored 2 or more TDs against every team. Right now no other player has done that against 31 teams.

The talent is there. I have never denied this.

He will never have a Super Bowl ring. We were his best chance. Yes, better than with Philly because they had the Patriots in their way. He determined his own destiny in Dallas by being himself. A self important, obnoxious drama queen.

Have you bothered to notice that on his new TV show he doesn't talk about the Bills, Eagles, or 49ers? He talks about Dallas a lot though. Know why? Because deep down inside he knows what he had here and HE ruined it for himself. He'll never let go of his bitterness because he is not intelligent enough to realize it is his own fault. He had Jerry Jones loyalty and he screwed it up. That's what happens when you have turds for brains, and he does. The sad after effect of having one's head up one's own butt.

The problem is people look at athletes and athletic teams like they're some kind of different entity, instead of what they really are, which is a work team, similar in many ways to the ones people belong to in normal jobs.

Because of this perception that they're different from normal people, people don't want to believe that 'talking too much' can divide a locker room.

As I said before, anybody who has ever been on a team with a coworker who tried to undermine leadership by talking more than they should knows exactly the divisive effect it has on a team.

I got a better question...

Why the hell do Cowboys fans still care about TO and what he's doing?

He's not here. He shouldn't still be here. We're better off, without a doubt, with Austin and Bryant (either one of them, and certainly with both of them) then we would be with TO.

So who gives a crap what he's doing in Cincy?

I agree with 85% of what you said, if not more.

SanFran & Baltimore-Never should have called out Garcia. Now personally, I dont have a problem with the Baltimore thing. His agent did not file his free agency papers on time after being instructed. He would have signed with philly outright if that had not happend.

Philly-Donovan was as much to blame in that ordeal, but TO was still in the wrong. Donovan had jealousy issues. He hated the attention TO was getting. If i can find it, im going to find and interview that started it all, and a post I did on another forum where I predicted the end was coming before the SuperBowl was even played. Granted I knew there would be an issue b/c TO has huge insecurities.

Dallas-I think this was a case of reputation following him (His fault. He made his bed). Before the supposed attack on Witten, no one had a problem with the guy. Everyone was talking about his effort blocking etc. I dont think he had a problem with Witten. I think he had a problem with the lack of production in the offense and he went to the offensive cooridinator. He followed the chain. That should have never been leaked. He did nothing wrong by going to a coach about something that us as fans were complaining about. Part of TO's problem is he does not know how to ignore, deflect questions. Hes painfully honest. If he said he had not problem with Witten, and witten said it as well, I Believe it.

Bills-He had no problems there. We all knew that would be an epic failure, and it was. No qb, no line, no production, still no butts in the seats.

Bengals-He was not yelling at Carson, and the Bengals record is not because of "TO" discension.

You are wrong, his best chance was with Philly. He was actually there, and he performed, the lost by one score. Donovan gave that game away.

You are right that he misses Dallas. We are the cowboys. At 1 and 7 we are the cowboys. He wanted to retire here. TO got dismissed because we underachieved, the city, the fans, and media wanted blood, and he was the best choice to end the feeding frenzy. He really did not do wrong here. He could have been wiser by not not allowing himself to be manipulated, but he was not the same TO of sanfran and philly.

You get no argument about the Kid thing. I knew he had 2 kids, but 1, 2, 4 or 10. A MAN should be with his children if he has any say so about it.
