Reporter: "Teams obviously know that DeSean Jackson goes deep and can get by 'em, but how does that happen? How is he able to do it?"

(Sidebar: this question is a pretty obvious lob... the PC thing to do here is for Jenkins to compliment Jackson's ability as a WR, and conclude that the secondary will have their hands full with such an explosive player.)

Jenkins: "Um, I have no idea. It's yet to happen to us. And we're not planning on it to happen. I mean, I guess he runs past a lot of guys, but it's not going to happen this week. It's not going to happen to us, period."

As big as Miles Austin's emergence has been for the O, the ability and confidence added by Jenkins and Brooking has been equally important for our D.

Confident without sounding too cocky. He didn't degrade D Jackson. He just stated that it's not going to happen.

Starting to love the kid a lot.

I was on the Scandrick bandwagon for a while. But, Jenkins has shown the light has come on and he's a baller out there.

Newman didn't do a good job tackling him on short passes. Normally, TNew does a better job than that on tackling.

Moss always seems to give Newman fits.

Difference between Newman and Jenkins?

I noticed alot during the Washington game that Jenkins plays right in front of his guy. He bumped his guy alot to throw off his route.

Newman plays 8-10 yards off which allowed the quick throw to Moss and then he only had to side step Newmans tackle attempt.

I still think Newman is a good CB, but Jenkins is clearly playing lights out this season.

Jenkins play in my book is why Wade is able to be as aggressive as we are on defense. The Cowboys have no problem matching Jenkins up with any of the top WR out there.

I just hope that they put Mike on DeSean Jackson. If Newman is on him, I think he will torch us for at least one long touchdown. In my opinion, Mike is one of our MVP's this season. He's fun to watch.

Dallas can't afford to give Philly the easy TD off the big play if we make them work for every yard Philly tends to get impatient and that is when they make mistakes.

Jackson wont get by Newman unless Newman is caught peeking in the backfield.

I'd rather face speed receivers every week than face Physical receivers.

There is no doubt in my mind that Jenkins is the best player in our secondary. If he continues improving I think he can be a top 3 corner in the league. Some guys are good athletes with ball hawk skills but who lose a lot of bettles, i.e. Deangelo Hall, and some guys are good technique guys who are good but don't make a lot of plays on the ball, i.e. Newman.

When you can put both those things together like Jenkins, it's a lot of fun to watch.

That game in Washington last year, Newman completely shut down Moss, and begged for the coaching staff to let him play man-to-man all night. Newman even talked a little trash to Moss and got him frustrated. That was one of those, "I'm tired of you killin us, aint happenin tonight" games for Newman.

I made the comment last week that I thought Jenkins was a shutdown CB. Some disagreed with me but I don't know how you can disagree with that. He shuts down his side of the field. I mean sure, a pass gets completed every now and then, but I could ask no more of him than what he has done!
