You're a guy on a message board, BP is a hall of fame coach. Why would he bench one of 'his guys' a guy he drafted almost 15 years ago, for some unknown undrafted scrub named Tony Romo. Certainly their must be an ulterior motive.

It's called having an ego....same reason he destroyed Quincy Carters medioric rise....he was a leader and said this was 'his' team....Parcells didn't like it.

When Drew was improvising and changing all of Parcells bad play calls it was making him look bad and thats why big bill decided to 'punish' Bledsoe and humuliate him on national tv with his benching.

Romo is starting by pure luck, not because of ability.....

I hope you aren't being serious, well let me pretend you are.

Thank you, we are all now dumber for being subjected to read such a moronic post. That post was so undeniably asanine that I'm going to assume you're stating your opinion as sheer sarcasm for the purpose of attention, at least I hope.

Bledsoe = future HOF QB

Quincy = last dallas QB to get to the playoffs before Romo, and likely would have led us deep in the playoffs in 2004 if not released by Parcells.

Romo = still an unknown and has lost 2 of 3 games to superior teams at home.

1st. I wasn't talking HOF. Bledsoe will get there because he has the stats, not because he was ever an elite QB.

Carter was not the reason dallas went to the playoffs......plain and simple. That defense lead that team to playoffs in 2003, plain and simple. And at best, Carter was as average as can be......nothing close to an Elite QB with that big arm of his.

And Romo........Yeah, hes unproven but to say he can't be something cause he doesn't have the same arm as Carter is just ridiculous.

Save the trick plays for the playoffs, with no precedent in the film for opponents it might be of a greater surprise to employ them in the win or go home playoffs.

i remember people saying Hutch had a stronger arm then Quincy yet Quincy could throw the ball 60+ yards at times, i think this will give Romo a shot to prove he has a strong arm too

QC had a cannon, not quite Bledsoelike...but he could wing it with his natural athleticism. He was rugged and knew how to be a team leader. I think we could have been good if we hung onto him.

I think you would have to walk into a room with him...and inhale what he's smoking to come up with that conclusion.

I just love how this thread went from talking about a flea-flicker to a debate over the arm strength of two has beens, Carter and Hutchinson....LOL! Please don't compare Tony Romo to those two. He is already lightyears better than they were right now!

I hope we run like 4 or 5 trick plays just to make whoever we play in the playoffs have to waste time preparing for it in practice.

Good point..i was just about to say i doubt we'll see any tricks against the Lions today.....thats a good idea though.

That said, i'm sure BP will run a very vanilla offense today. And everyone around here will be moaning how we'll never go far in the playoffs with this unimaginative play calling.

Ok not predict! I'm praying for a darn flea-flicker. I know Bledsoe had one that was money to T.O but it got tipped. Nonono I'm not a Bledsoe lover... I know how ppl read deep into simple message board posts.

Romo doesnt have Bledsoe's arm.. Thats why he can do it.. He can throw it out there under duress as far as he can. Tony would have to deliver the ball sooner and the WR's have to break route up later....
