you're correct.

Crayton resigned sometime in December as I recall...pretty sure it was Romo who got the bye week deal

all I know is that Pat disappeared late in the year, wasn't looked to, and Bill mentioned before that focus was an issue for him

number of catches for Crayton in the last 6 games (incl the playoff loss)

3,3,2,7,2,3

he caught his last 2 tds of the season vs Green Bay

yds per catch was down a great deal the last 3, which coincides with Romo's injury by the way

in 10 of his 17 games, he caught at least 3 passes...he had two where he didnt catch a pass (vs Miami, the first Philly game)

Last I heard you were wishing ill on people already dead.
Now you are just clueless.
The extension came in mid-season. Or, rather, late season.
At any rate well before the esteemed Crayton did a Randy Moss and took off a play
.

:laugh1:

concerning our beloved Patrick Crayton, well I was thumbing through Pro Football Weekly's, Fantasy Football Guide the other day, and I was reading about the Wrs, and I saw the knock on Crayton where it said that the staff was losing patience w/ Crayton as the '07 season wore on because of his, "lack of concentration and attitude"

interesting, that could explain him receiving less looks late in the year, that, and Romo's reliance on Witten and TO

Parcells said that Crayton was a guy who always needed to be prodded

flame away

Yeah dude, JJ would never sign one of his own players who had question marks!!

Who's the guy Crayton replaced as a starter and whats his contract look like?

It seems he was signed early to prevent him from testing free agency. Signing during the season seems to be a discounting period for Jerry (Crayton, Ratiff).

After TO, we were pretty thin at (experienced) WR spot. So sign him early and not create another for hole for the 08 season. His new $ #'s are not cost prohibiting.

I don't remember Parcells saying that. I thought Crayton had a "getting started up again problem" after injuries, not quick at getting up to speed.

I seem to remember Bill saying something to the affect that you have to stay on Pat, but i could be wrong.

Holy crap you can read

I find that astounding!

But whether or not thats true, will be seen during TC.

No reason to flame. I have little doubt they got aggravated with his increasing verbal attitude through the media. It is not often you have a fringe player that noticeable. Of course, the playoff game speaks for itself.

He did. This was while mentioning how good his hands were.

Crayton was never the same after he got married during the bye week. He dropped a potential touchdown pass the next week and didn't play that well in December, either.

He had a Jackie Smith moment in Chicago early in the season as well.
