the Patriots fans that used to come in here. Pats Fan was my favorite... it was fun.

Seriously.... both of us had the 3 in 4 years... but we still had more SB wins. But the Pats were threatening to catch up real quick... so I had hoped the boys would win one or two just have that SB wins cushion.

We would always debate that the 90's boys would beat the 00's Pats.

And then it happened.

Its good to a Cowboys fan. Unmanufactured success. :starspin

Indeed!

The Patriots won their three Super Bowls by a combined 9 points...a literal field goal separated them from their opponent in each of their Super Bowl victories.

I don't know if they cheated or not, but it is interesting that the team that was considered the best was obviously last years and they lost by 3 points in a year that we are all pretty sure there was no signal stealing.

The Patriots team was indeed a good team, but not even close to being a great team like the 90s Cowboys.

Dallas would have destroyed the Patriots.

Not to mention all of the Dallas players were probably coked out of their minds for each Super Bowl ;)

Well the 90's Cowboys had 4 or 5 surefire HOFs and the 00's Patriots have 3 surefire HOFers( Vinatieri, Brady, and a Video Camera)

Great teams manhandle or at least beat solidly other top teams. On a consistent basis, when it counts. 92 thru 95 we only lost one game that mattered and there was a whole lot going on in THAT game. Pats slipped by and barely beat the teams they played those years. Add to the fact that the year after they won their first they totally went splat. While we went and won back to back. Add to the fact that by 95 we had lost several important players and a lot of depth. WHile supposedly the Pats had gotten BETTER. Yet they have fallen down. Its really hard for anyone with any logic to argue that they have one of the greatest teams of all time. The numbers and facts are just not there to support it. Winning 3 SBs by 3 pts each= many in doubt down to the last minute- does not equal a great team.

Cowboys 90s >> Partiots 00s

However, Patriots 2007 >> Cowboys 2007.

Can we turn things around next year and beat them if we manage to meet them in the SB? I personally think they are a bad matchup for us if we get there and would much rather play the Colts, Steelers or the Chargers.

Frankly I do not see where the Pats were all that much better then we were last year. Better yes= but not all that much.

It depends on how you do the comparison. If you compare the two teams, they were not that far apart in talent or even performance in a lot of respects. However, their passing game had a huge mismatch against our secondary but our offense didn't have the same mismatch against them.

This is why the Giants beat them - they matched up better against the Patriots offense due to their pass rush and their much improved secondary - Ross really played well and the lights suddently seemed to go on for Corey Webster.

It's Funny, but I had that same outfit that Kid has on.

Did you wear the pajamas underneath it? :)
