clear evidence of this is when he just started to look Gallups way after Ceedee ***** him out
When you take 20% of the cap and play the most important position on the field.. you have to be responsible for a lot of it.Why does everything fall on Dak's shoulders? He has been the go to punching bag for all the woes of this franchise. Maybe Daks birth caused the downfall of the team.
Did Dak rob the Jones family? Did he threaten them to receive his contract? If no, you have no leg to stand on. Dak was terrible, but many of you forget that football is a team sport. What about his supporting cast? Please explain each players contribution to the loss. When you take 20% of the cap and play the most important position on the field.. you have to be responsible for a lot of it.
QBs get the big bucks because that is the job.
This weekend we have seen some amazing QB play.. even on losing teams.. Dak the only starter so far that has put in a laughable performance.
Yeah, I don't remember Romo getting in guys faces or getting over to his disgruntled #1 WR and fixing it.LOL.. it would explain it. What I do find strange is the lack of animation on the bench. I remember those famous clips of Aikmen going ballistic at his receivers when things were going bad.. I remember Romo would get up and start getting in guys face when things got down.
For all the "leadership" stuff we get told about Dak.. we just never see any vision of him rallying the troops or getting in guys faces. If CeeDee is upset.. then his QB should be over there and fixing it.. not the HC. The HC should be calling plays, devising schemes, talking to his coordinators.
So I don't know.. I suspect CD was really upset about the first drop.. but the connection wasn't there early and then we just didn't target him at all. The game plan sucked.
Very true. Exactly what came to mind. CeeDee had just been pouting on the sidelines. Soon afterwards, Dak tried to please him by force feeding a pass in Packers territory. Ended in a pick 6.The 1st int pick 6 was Dak's way of trying to make Ceedee happy.
When Dak has to force feed, nothing good happens.
Yeah - how often do you see an NFL head coach go up to his best wide receiver and put his hand on his shoulder on the sidelines during a playoff game? But there seemed to be some friction very early in the game. I suspect something happened before the game. Just speculation buy it could come out,
ya maybe but he has hit his ceiling. Last 3 years no show in playoffs. You stats guys can love him all you want, cant take the playoff pressure. And he won't deliver anything more than he already has, so book that too. Have fun defending him to the bitter end.

i was thinking same as well. Get some Cowboy beat writers to find out the deal between the 2 of them, more than on field stuffIm wondering if something outside of football happened with CD prior to the game. McCarthy seemed to chat with him in a consoling manner. This was after ONLY the first series.
One and done.. book ‘‘em Danno! You going to need some welfare checks because Dak is coming back next year, plus getting a contract extension. Book it.
Whole entire team choked my guy.Speaking of ignorant, how did your boy do against a 7th seeded team again? Oh right...same thing he did against the 49ers two playoffs in a row and one regular season game too.
He's a choker. Always will be. I'm all for CeeDee returning. I'd love to dump Choke-artist Stats Prescott. That being said, I wish Dak well in whatever he does after because he's a good guy. I just don't want him dragging this team down again.
Jerry is planning on the fans having short memories.Who the heck knows with this team? It's always something for darn near 30 years. I just don't care much anymore. Clown show organization from Jerry on down.
But I'm sure it'll all come together next season.

Mike often does. Those are good points. I do think the offense played a lot better in the second half, but you can't wait for your offense to show up in the second half in playoff football.
100% agree. Me and several of my old football buddies have been saying the same thing the past 2 seasons after Gallup tore his ACL and has not been the same. Cowboys need to draft another stud WR to help CeeDee out there and get pressure off of CeeDee. Our front office's refusal to draft another stud WR has hurt this team badly come playoffs time the past 2 seasons. We also need a big RB and a better Oline coach. Plus, definitely a new D-Coordinator with a much better philosophy of focusing on stopping the run.where were our other receivers? how about drafting. Look at GB with 2 rookie receivers. I think Will McLay is awful
Time to groom Lance and trade Dak, like GB did with Rodgers+ Love, Like SF did with Montana+ Young.Tbh I don’t agree with this and I know the broadcast kept saying it over and over but the entire offense wasn’t on the same page - we had zero pass yards in the first quarter and weren’t doing a thing all half. Dak and ceedee were no more discombobulated than the rest of the receivers and running backs etc.
Everyone was off kilt and not on the same page. They just focused on dak and ceedee bc they are high profile players
