I see that Jamal Adams trade really worked out for Seattle

At the time, I thought the Seahawks massively overpaid to acquire Jamal Adams. They gave the Jets a 1st and a 3rd in 2021 and an additional 1st in 2022 with a 4th coming back to them in the same year.

They got booted in the wild card round of the playoffs, Adams has a torn labrum and they still need to resign him.

I know it wasn't Seattle's Defense why they lost yesterday, he was more their OL. However, without 1st round picks for two seasons, they better hope to find help in the mid-rounds or be forced to overpay in the fa market.

Point is, Seattle wasn't 1 player away and shouldn't of given up a ransom to acquire one. This trade will set the franchise back and hurt their cap in the long-run.
 
That was a very stupid trade.. Everyone knew it.

The Jets are loaded with picks for the future too.

Adams is a strong safety and would’ve been a cap crushing acquisition.

Id rather have Byron Jones in the secondary.

I was especially glad they had him and not the Cowboys after he made that play and acted like a fool pointing to himself like "look what I did". Even his own teammates were looking at him like he was a fool.

Sea won their super bowl w/ the deepest DLine rotation in the NFL. Apparently, Carroll was so busy watching Sherman he didn't even notice the real strength of that team.

Oddly enough, they typically do much better in the 2nd round and later, most of their first round picks have been busts so based on history I don’t think it will hurt them nearly as much as some people think.

I would add Bob Sanders to that list when he was healthy. The fantasy rule was never start a RB against the Colts if he's playing, he'd cut the other teams rushing total in half. Problem was he hit like Atwater but was the size of Barry Sanders but pound for pound, the hardest hitter I've ever seen.

Adams is a great player. Yes the price was steep and he could be an injury concern with the way he plays but he's fantastic when on the field. Interesting to see what he signs for. They all but HAVE to keep him to justify what they paid. The trade for Carlos Dunlap was way better.

ah yes. Forgot about Bob Sanders. I never remember him when I think back to those great Colts teams.

This isn't sound logic, then you fire and replace your GM. A 1st rd pick is a low cost, controllable player for 4 years and 1 option yr.
