Woman allegedly tossed baby into SUV to block repo

Posted Wednesday, Mar. 24, 2010

The Associated Press

DALLAS — A woman is accused of throwing her year-old son into her SUV in a failed attempt to stop the vehicle from being repossessed in Dallas.
Krystal Gardner of Tool was jailed Wednesday on bail of nearly $3,800 on charges including child endangerment related to abandonment, no driver's license and no insurance.

Electronic records at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center did not list an attorney for the 28-year-old mother, who was booked Monday.

Recovery agent Luke Ross told KTVT-TV that he was in the Ford Expedition when he saw Gardner toss the baby through an open window. He says the baby landed on the seat "like a kid bouncing on a bed."

Texas law bans a vehicle from being repossessed if a person is inside.
Police were called. The uninjured baby was removed, for placement with his father. Ross then repossessed the SUV.

He should have drove the baby to the police station.
Someone would have cited him for the baby not being in a child safety seat.

Then that conniving ***** would report him for kidnapping.
I guess her car is worth more than her baby.

Money bag to go: Connecticut police say would-be robbers called bank ahead of time for cash
The Associated Press

FAIRFIELD, Conn. March 24, 2010 (AP) Police in Connecticut say they had ample warning of a bank robbery because the two suspects called the bank ahead of time and told an employee to get a bag of money ready.

Police arrested 27-year-old Albert Bailey and an unidentified 16-year-old boy on robbery and threatening charges Tuesday afternoon at a People's United Bank branch in Fairfield.

Sgt. James Perez says the two Bridgeport residents showed up about 10 minutes after making the call and were met by police in the parking lot. Perez told the Connecticut Post the suspects were "not too bright."

It's not clear if Bailey and the teen have lawyers.

There have been worse (or better, depending on your point of view).
I recall several cases where robbers called ahead of time asking how many guards were on duty. Then 15 minutes or so later they try and rob it.

I can't believe anyone would put that in the paper.

That picture is too unbelievable to me. Looks like they had some wild idea about jackhammers and looked for the first preggo to be the face of their campaign.

Some of those are staged, although i'm not sure what percentage. My friend actually knew a person who was paid to be on that show and act a fool.
