I love it.

This one is my favorite.

I've seen bits and pieces of that one but not the entire thing. I love the end where he just sat there smoking his stolen cigarettes and waited for the cops.

Some of those are staged, although i'm not sure what percentage. My friend actually knew a person who was paid to be on that show and act a fool.

That show is completely fictitious.

Occasionally, I'll catch Operation Repo on tru TV. It can get out of control.

Not really. Most people know that they're behind in their payments before the repo men show up at their place of residence or business.

Of course they do, but that doesn't stop them from trying to keep it when they repo man comes calling.

The stuff on the show might be fake, but I know for a fact a repo man in Houston was killed when trying to repossess this man's truck.

My nephew is a repo man and I know he's got some crazy stories.

Repo Men and tow truck drivers who tow you for being in a lot without paying are parasites

So its not the person who tries to park without paying but the tow truck driver who is hired to do a job who is a parasite?

Don't they say the same thing about lawyers?

...nor do the people who need repo men and tow truck drivers--especially when one's car is stalled at night.

Don't park in a lot that advertises a towing service.

Now, I almost got towed a couple weeks ago and I was parked in a perfectly legal spot. It was after hours and I was in a ticket-only zone but there was a tow truck with lights on stopped behind my car (only car in the area) when I was walking to it.

I don't doubt that tow companies do what they want. I've seen it. I used to work at a place where a lot of people would park illegally and the tow company contract would come as they please and tow as they please if the car didn't have a pass.

They made a couple mistakes and just told the people to come get their car. Their lot was about 10 miles from my place of work. That would piss me off.

So people should be able to keep unpaid merchandise without consequence? Interesting.

Niether does the person who owns an establishment and needs the parking spaces for their own clientele nor the dealership who sold you the car and who you failed to pay.

did you read my qualification that it is tow truck drivers who tow you for not paying?

Repo men are parasites. Prey on those who are down on their luck.

please, if you fail to pay, there are other ways than taking a car from a woman who obviously needs it to ferry her child all over the place

If it says, 'Paid parking only', don't park there. Simple solution. It is someone else's property, period.

Dealerships also give you chances to pay, they don't come and take your car the minute you miss your first payment. They will also work with you to a certain extent.

Repo men are hired by the company that sold the vehicle, rented it, or the bank that's financing the vehicle. They're not the ones that prey.

I'm in the rental car business, and the company hires repo guys all the time when people keep their car longer than their contract and stop extending or paying for the extension.

Yep. Its called giving her plenty of motivation through her Nike's to get a job and pay for said vehicle. Owning a vehicle isn't a bequeathed right, especially if you haven't maintained payments.
