I think based on Vegas odds, Rodgers is out

Does Romo play defense?

I know this idea might sound new to you...

but how about putting pressure on the opposing offense to keep up scoring with you? How about scoring more than 14 points?!

Like Rodgers did in 2011, with the 32nd ranked defense. Finished the season 15-1.

Rodgers finished the 2011 season with 45 TDs, 6 INTs, a 122 QB rating (the highest in history) with a 32nd ranked defense, no running game, and playing behind a shoddy offensive line...

It's difficult to comprehend really how he pulled it off.

People need to stop trying to compare Romo to Rodgers IMHO.

like I have been talking about. Dallas will be in it during the two remaining home contests. The bigger challenge will be playing in Washington.
Here are the points scored against us during the 1st six games in order.
31 NYG -W +5
07 STL -W +24
48 DEN -L -3
16 WAS -W +15
23 MIN -W +4
24 OAK -W +7

24.8 points gave up
W-5 L-1
8.66 ave margin of victory

I don't mind playing quarterbacks during the last 3 games that none of them were preseason starters.

I know there is absolutely no comparison, but I had to bring it up. Romo is being paid like an elite QB. He better put hs team on the back regardless of the circumstances.

He has done it time and again, but when your defense doesn't force a single out--you are going to need a perfect game to win. How often is that going to happen? Expecting Romo to overcome this defense consistently is asking for an act of God wash week.

as i expected - silly comments would follow...same silly comments that followed when i told you guys we would get walloped on monday night

last time your response was "not a doom wisher by any means..of course i want dallas to win tonight..
im just calling it like i see it - via the line movement...im not even talking Xs and Os....or matchups...im talking strictly line movement...the better bettors are betting on chicago...thats it"

Now it's " just as I told you guys would get walloped."

Why are you here, to be like everyone else "I told you so", or to just claim superiority in reading the betting lines?

LOL

Yeah, hes choked. That's what hes done. I used to think it was just a coincidence when he choked during big games, but he did it again last year after throwing 4 interceptions against the Commanders in a must win game to make the playoffs. This year he won't have a chance to choke though.

I know, odd right. Does the OP think Vegas sets the line-up for NFL teams?

The line is set by the money. Do you think that much money by that may people is being bet if Rodgers is playing or he's not ready to play. Having said that the line can change.

I don't understand your question. Have the Packers said Rodgers is out? But, I am not sure it matters anyway. Flynn will probably tear our defense up.

Flynn is supposed to start. Rodgers took a few snaps. Tomorrow is supposed to make the decision as reported but it will be a game time decision most likely; unless he or the docs say otherwise before then.

The line is set by the money bet.

I don't know what to tell you. In 2011 Packers go 15-1 despite having one of the worst defenses in the history of the league with Rodgers having the best statistical season any QB has ever had (as measured by QB rating).

In 2013 a 5-2 Packers team loses Rodgers and goes 1-4-1 after he goes out.

Obviously Rodgers isnt solely responsible for the Packers success or failure, but you are kidding yourself if you think that a superstar QB like Rodgers is the single most important player on the field and that, all by himself, decides the fate of the team.

The line is not set by money. They don't just let people bet w no line and then adjust the line. That's not how it works.

There's an opening line. Then it adjusts according to bets. This line opened at 7-5...Rodgers is out. Period.

Yes that's how it works but the movement is from the bets which produces the most movement.

In 2011 Packers go 15-1 despite having one of the worst defenses in the history of the league

They weren't even one of the worst defenses that season. Yes, they were 32nd in yards allowed, but you don't lose games based on how many yards you give up. You lose based on how many points you give up. In 2011, they were 19th in points allowed, with 359. In 13 games this season, Dallas has allowed 348.
