I think Callahan stays, primarily because...

Not really. The next "offensive coordinator" will be in title only as our "head coach" continues his training.

And the Grand Poohbah is still crapping on the entire football side of things.........

Yeah we scored more points this year than the Saints. Still though, there is some situational play calls that lost us games. That needs correction one way or the other.

Sean lee gifted us a few times, among them the Detroit game. 6 TOs by the defense in the Giants game gifted us. Bailey being money gifted us. The Denver game screws the numbers as well. Dwane Harrs provided us excellent field position. Even Spurlock essentially got this offense a TD with his punt return against the Skins last week.

the offensive line has really started to gel and has Callahan's zone blocking scheme down. The future looks bright with this unit. I think Callahan has earned the right to stick around for this reason alone, but I am not a fan of his play calling. I would not be suprised if he is relieved of those duties.

Doesn't mean anything if he doesn't run the ball

If dedemotion comes with a pay cut but if not he may be cool with it

I like the idea, but am skeptical Callahan would take the demotion smoothly. Bringing in a new OC is intriguing for sure.

He is under contract in Cleveland. Are they firing the staff there?

Browns want to interview Broncos OC Adam Gase. So my hunch (if he is hired, or for that matter someone like him) is he brings his own crew and lets Turner etc. go.

So I guess they fired the HC?

Fisher reporting now on the Fan that relationship between Garrett and Callahan is strained and Callahan's future with team is in question....

Does that indicate that they want Marinelli to be the DC?

Unknown. What is known is that Lions HC Schwartz was just fired. His defense was stout and would have to be considered as a DC candidate.

I'm not sure we wasn't relieved of play calling when Garrett became the relayer of the call
