Funny you posted this.....I was thinking the same thing 5 min ago!

The Star of all current WR's.....what better stage for T.O. then to play for Americas Team....wear the Star....and win back the respect of our Star were he tired to tarnish it until Mr. Teague had other ideas.

Great post!:starspin

T.O. has a lot more to prove now though. He's playing with a chip on his shoulder this year, and what better way to prove you're the NFL's best receiver? Take America's Team to the Super Bowl in your first year.

His hero was Jerry Rice. I doubt this assumption very much.

T.O. has Jerry Rice's work ethic, skills, and competetiveness... Too bad he doesn't have his attitude.

Rice is certainly not as bad as what TO has done, but he has a history there that the media never pursued. In one of the niners superbowl victories where Montana was named MVP Rice started complaining that he should have been the MVP and that was right after the game. More recently in Oakland I think most of us will remember that Mr. Sportsman Rice was miked up for audio during the game and when they started gettting whooped, he ripped out his microphone.
Also, he was always known for never helping younger WRs learn the game, not a crime but just an example that the guy wasnt Mr Team either.

Yeah- let's see how bad he always wanted to be a Cowboy the first time he feels "disrespected." This guy is just a jerk-off plain and simple and now we're stuck with him. It's all about the money for this guy. Yes, he'll make this team better on the field but all the crap he puts out off the field is just a colossal headache this team doesn't need. We'll all cheer the TDs but it's not going to be easy.

This I got from KFFL and a poster named AceDuce49, a 49ers fan. He posted this back in November when the Eagles suspended TO.

The incident occurred when TO was a 49er.

There's a couple of good stories about where TO might end up, and I want to be the first to say I can tell you now that Owens will undoubtedly end up in Dallas.

I must tell you a quick story...

Three years ago my wife and I and some friends made a pre-season road trip to KC to see the 49ers/Chiefs game. We spent that friday night taking in the sights of KC and ended up at the "Plaza" where we ate dinner.

While waiting at the bar for our table, we notice Terrell Owens walking down the side walk in front of the window where we sat. I stood up, hurried to the door and just caught him as he was passing in front of the restraunt.
I said "Hey TO" and he kept walking, then I said again, "Hey TO" again at which time he turned, (kept walking, (by himself)) and gave a little wave and a smile. When Owens turned around, I about fell over when I saw he was wear none other than a Dallas Cowboy hat, (all blue, with the star on the front). I was shocked, and I remember thinking what an a-s-s he was and I thought it must be somekind of a joke.

Nonetheless, Owens walked on, and went accross the street to a parking garage and was gone.

Take it for whatever it's worth (probably not much) but I can see Owens being a great fit in Dallas.

Do u know TO. probably not.... His whole team in Philly wanted to keep TO, except for mcnasty and Reid, that's 49 players that wanted him to stay and 2 wanted him to go. Alot of posters was like why grab Key, he's all about himself, he's no team player, then Key went out and proved he deserved to wear the star with great catches for his 2 years.......

TO is a boy and like him or hate him, their will be 25 million Cowboy fans cheering TO on, Oh we might lose about30 fans but oh well leave..

What does it matter if you know TO or not? You dont either... and if you really want to look at it, instead of making stuff up to fit your agenda, read some of the articles about it, most of the team was against TO in Philly after all the crap he pulled with McNab and the whole locker room fight...dont know about San Fran though but I garuntee I, along with most, would not want to play with a guy who goes around and bad mouths his team mates.

Im not saying he can't change and can't control himself in Dallas, I believe there is a small chance of that happening, but don't try justifying what he did in the past, or saying it wasn't that big of deal and most players still liked him...its just BS.

Of all those things - tenacious work ethic, superior talent and skills, competitiveness, and an attitude to succeed - it is the attitude that is easiest to fix.

TO's past poor attitude stems from his feeling of being undercompensated, and you know what? The fact is he was undercompensated. I'm all for people making market value for the work they do, whether it's me you or TO. If Dallas pays TO his worth then the undercompensation issue goes away and his attitude can be easily adjusted.

Thru the Media here, I Believe what happened was the Eagles told him they would redue his deal then they recinded and that when he started to act up.

There have been plenty of players that have had heroes on OTHER teams yet they still become a legend on a different team.

I hear ya though...
