Slate, you aren't going to like this, but let me suggest one other player who would be suited for a CB/S role . . . . J Byrd out of Oregon.

The guy is probably a touch too slow for top CB, though I think he would play the position well. He runs around a 4.53 40 (similar to S Smith). And he weighs close to 210 lbs., and he tackles well. Also, he's got the ability for the interception (one short of school record).

I think with his smarts, ability to make plays on the ball, and his sound tackling, he could be another CB/S prospect - esp if he slips into Round 3.
