I think having a healthy Chaz Green could be a big key to the success of the Cowboys season.
Given Tyron Smith's back issues, having Green as his backup could be huge.
When he's been healthy enough to play, last year and this pre-season, he's been very productive.
Besides him, I don't know if we have a backup LT who instills much confidence.

He's the guy. I wouldn't think most teams are 3 deep at LT.

I see what the OP meant by MVP, and I agree that Green could be a very valuable player should anything happen to Smith.
Just sucks that Green can't stay healthy. Our luck Smith tweaks his back and joins Green in the trainers office

I really wish some would put some thought into a post before they do it. There is no way a OL is ever your MVP unless you had a bad season.

NOW one could argue last year that the ENTIRE O LINE deserved that honor but that is all.

He's been the fifth-best OL on the team, so I hope against logic he can stay healthy. He's better than Cooper at this point.

You people are wound up way too tight!
MVP was meant Tongue in Cheek.
Anyone with a brain knows that a back up LT won't be the MVP.
It was just a discussion starter about how Green could play a big role in helping the team should Tyron Smith or another lineman go down.
He's shown some real ability to be a quality reserve LT/Olineman.
His injury history is disconcerting but if he can avoid them, he will play a big role for the team this season.
He is the only one on the team that elicits any trust to step in for Tryron should his back problems persist.

Well its a message board, and people read what they see, and you are way too green for anyone to assume sarcasm.

LT order:

Smith
Green
Collins
Bell
Cleary

The last two are a toss up who as to who is better.

Yep. Very true. Every club faces the same problem at the LT position, tough job. Green is an excellent back up providing he can stay healthy AND reduce his penalties.
