Killebrew has Taylor Mays written all over him. He's an explosive hitter and great in-line athlete. He's frequently a step slow and takes awful angles. His ceiling is Deone Bucannon. No thank you.

Why, because Todd McShay says so?

I do love how he is terribly out of position on the first play of those highlights and the second play is a late hit out of bounds...

Uhhhh.

He made a pick on the first play which was clearly zone coverage. Looks like he was exactly where he needed to be, likely underneath the receiver cutting off the route.

Because I say so. I've been against Killebrew for months on here. It's possible to formulate an opinion and have it align with someone else. I expect that kind of clown shoes response from some other posters, but not you...

He's nowhere near Taylor Mays. Mays has about 3 inches in height on him and his body type is very different. The way he runs back the fumbles and interceptions is something that Mays could not do (avoid tacklers and cut well).

And he wasn't out of position on the first play. And you just happen to compare him to Deone Bucanon which is what McShay and the NFL Tracker compare him to.

When I say Mays, I mean he plays like Mays. He also has a very similar, ball of muscle build even if he's shorter. He's a straight line athlete. Even on the fumble returns, he has to significantly slow down in order to cut--he is certainly not a good cutter. He almost falls when he makes his jump cut.

He may not have been out of position on the first play, but all he did was catch a ball thrown directly at him (which I guess is more than our safeties can do). I don't see him reading and actually making plays in the passing game.

I sincerely haven't even seen McShay's comparison to Bucannon, but I am not surprised by it. It's a pretty obvious one. I made the same comments about Killebrew back in late December/early January, that I am now. If you want to play the "you're just parroting what someone else says" game, it's pretty easy to apply that to almost every argument.

I would be interested in playing him at nickel linebacker. Give me Joseph over him Killebrew at SS all day.
