I think most HC do not like to be fired, not get a contract extension or let go.

However I gotta believe that Big Mike would be relieved.

Has to be aggravating for him with the FO not addressing the Running game on either side of the ball. Not getting decent FAs and so on.

He is probably ready to leave this clown show as soon as possible and I would imagine his wife would agree as with his age and size....stress can be a dangerous thing.

I don’t buy that he will be relieved. He knows it’s inevitable now so I am sure he is ready to get it over with but his career as a NFL HC is coming to a close and I’m sure he wishes that wasn’t the case. If he was offered a new contract he would take it in a heartbeat. He just knows that’s not happening.

McCarthy was insane to take this job to begin with. He's exactly where anyone paying attention knew he would be. The inevitable, convenient scapegoat for atrocious, obstinate management of a team over which he was granted far-too-limited control.

I agree with the FO being 99% of the problem but let's not act like Mike has no responsibility for this.
Eh. This team makes the same mistakes that happened under the JG era. Really boneheaded plays and penalties that have never gotten under control. MM was doomed to fail the first day he stepped into this franchise.

I have a hard time imagining ANY Head Coach prospects of any worth wanting to come work with the Cowboys. The word is out. Jerrah is the boss, and a stupid boss at that. He will do what he wants. The head coach will be a puppet at best.

Unfortunately, the owner will NEVER fire the GM.
