I think it's about time to get Luke Gifford out there!

Yes he suffered a high ankle sprain in preseason...he looked like a solid contributor to that point though...preseason or not. I noticed he was in uniform against the Jets but not used.I'm concerned about the drop off of LVE and Jaylon from last year.More Joe Thomas and Luke might be a shot in the arm to this defense.

Historically, this coaching staff doesn't use what we consider to be talented bench players. I say give ALL players a chance to play in a real game. You never know what talent you may find. Luke and Donovan looked great in preseason. Let em play, there sure can't be worse but if they are, we still suck anyway.

Gifford needs to make plays on STs first. Playing a rookie under these conditions would get somebody fired. Also, #57 would have to leap #48, #50 n #53 for snaps...not happening barring injury. Best hope is for next season with him getting a "fair shot" at playing time.

Yea its concerning for me as well. It's especially bad because we just paid Jaylon and I really thought based off of last season that he was going to be extremely good this year.

I know I don't have anything to back this up with and might get crap for it but I really think Jaylon and LVE are going to find their footing. I dont have a good explanation for why things have gone bad at the LB position but both guys have showed us they have the ability to be good players.

Maybe its blind hope but I think they are much better then their play right now suggests and we will see them improve.

It's primarily scheme related and Jaylon appears to have gained 20 pounds...
