I think it's time for the Cowboys to seriously look at QBs in the upcoming draft. It's easy to blame the defence. However, I'm sorry, they held the Bucs to 7 points in the first half. It should have been 0 if Bland wasn't idiotic. The offense, at $100+ mil, should have been able to score more than 7 points in one half. That is inexcusable.

Not only that, but this is another week where Dak has consistently missed wide open WRs on deep balls. He had a near pick where he did that stupid jump pass that gets him in trouble. Whereas, if he puts the ball to about the 10 yard line throwing with set feet, Lamb probably walks it in. He missed a wide open Flournoy on the 2 point conversion, and there were other passes that were high that, if on target, we probably score more. That's just this game.

As good as Dak is (and I like Dak), he can't be missing WRs like that. And he's 33. I'm not saying get rid of him. But, if Jerry is smart, he should seriously be telling McClay to scout QBs that can sit a season or two behind Dak and learn. I think it's time to plan for Dak's successor.

They won’t and Dak will probably get another extension. They are that inept at looking towards the future.

And then he's going to get hurt, and they will hope to get lucky again, when it's time to really look at a successor. It's okay. Sometimes it just gets to being time, and Daks in his prime. We probably have about two more good seasons left of him. Assuming he doesn't get hurt. So, this is the time to find our next guy. And honestly, this draft class has a LOT of good choices.

The worst thing that could have happened to this franchise other then NGM being the GM is finding Tony as an UDFA and only needing a fourth to get Dak

there is no way he is going to use a first on a QB unless someone holds a gun to his head

I don't know how we don't go DB first and another pic

I don't know if I would want a QB to sit behind Dak and learn...

The QB is not the problem. He’s got several years left. Draft some defensive help.

Dak isn't the problem.Defense and coaching are. Very few draft picks are left. The few we have should be used on defense. IMHO

We've done that. I'm not saying he's the problem, but let's be honest. He's 33. We might only get about 3 good years left with him, and his current deal runs our after the 2027 season. Might be good to look at possible successors.

I mean, we probably will have to do this, but let's be honest, we only have so many picks. And I think what we are seeing is time to be looking at a successor. I'd rather get the successor a year or two early so that the successor can learn a year or two behind Dak and not have to start right away.

Honestly, Dak is still a very good QB. By no means am I saying that he's not good. And I do think a rookie could learn a few deal sitting behind him a year or two. But, that would require a coach like McDermott to be here to help mentor the rookie too.

The problem with Dak is he is as good as he will ever be right now. He might win a Super Bowl if he played for another team. But he ain't winning one here.

It's time to seriously look at drafting his replacement. And that should be Trinidad Chambliss.
