I think Jerry is taking spite out at the fans

I think in his diluded mind he is mad at the fans for not accepting his sales pitches anymore. He feels that he should be respected because he is the owner, and he thinks he has done enough to earn that respect. In his mind the Cowboys ruled the NFC East during the last eighteen seasons, and he thinks that should be enough. Never mind that the East has been the weakest division in the NFL during that time.
But each time one of the teams from the East rose to greatness, the Cowboys couldn't compete. The Giants won two Super Bowls. The Eagles won two and went to a third. The Commanders are now back at the top, as well.
So I think what you are seeing is Jerry's way of lashing out at the fans to teach them a lesson. No one should dare question his loyalty to Jason Garrett, and how dare fans complain about him giving Dak Prescott the richest contract in NFL history despite proving to be a fake quarterback.
He is signing no name players to one year deals, and refusing to build the team to championship caliber.
Maybe after a year or two of losing fans will be sorry for questioning him and learn to appreciate his greatness and not question him.
Maybe they'll even put a statue of him outside Cowboys stadium next to Tom Landry.
What else would you expect from a curmudgeon in his golden years? He's a diminished old fool that thinks his best possible football operations partners are his family. Thank God we have Will McClay in the front office to manage the circus.

Jerry cares about the Cowboys’ Forbes valuation; net operating revenue and that the Cowboys remain relevant for whatever reason in the national media. He throws around buzz words and tells the fans what they want to hear…deftly giving those that continue to believe false hope year after year.
Whether or not the Cowboys win a playoff game is an ancillary benefit.
And I think Stephen will be a worse GM than Jerry, so I fear nothing will change when Jerry leave this earth.

Jerry only listens when his PR Team tells him it’s affecting his revenue. And even then, I doubt anyone has the brass ones to spell it out and risk career suicide. You basically have to tell him — “Look dude, the record shows, you are a craptastic GM.”

I think Jerry's mental health is in decline and that started a few years ago. His children are probably told to hide it.

I don’t believe Jerry thinks or cares about most Cowboys fans at all.

Now JJ does care about his corporate clients that pay big bucks to advertise with his team. Like AT&T, Miller Lite, Ford Trucks, etc. Those are the only customers he gives a rip about.

Sadly, we the average Cowboys fans do not occupy much space in his care zone. Yes he wants us to buy jerseys and show up at his “stayjum”….which is exactly why IMO we shouldn’t. If no one shows up to TC…he notices. If the stayjum is mostly fans of our opponent, it could embarrass him.

But thinking Jerry is mad at us the average long supporting fan base. I don’t think he cares enough about us to think about it.
Honestly, I don't think Jones cares if the seats are filled by Cowboys fans or opposing team's fans. As long as butts are in the seats, that's all that matters to him...

I’m really tired talking about Jerry Jones. I wish we talk more about football. I know why and our situation but it’s so tiresome.

No knock on op or anyone on the site.
we can't talk football because of Jerry...... the focus is not football at all. not with cowboys organization. not with the fans.

I don't believe Jerry goes off on his own and makes moves unilaterally. At most, he will make a decision if there is no consensus.

I think that the fact there is not a single voice with a vision is the issue personally. Jerry needs another Jimmy to listen to.
the key word. there is no vision. when the primary goal of any sport team is not winning championships and its focused on money and branding, then this happens.
Jerry has an ego. he wants to be in charge because it puts him in charge of the money. and thus the crap we have in our hands today.

exactly. he said that about 10-15 years ago, that good news or bad news is good for the cowboys as long as they are talking about the cowboys.

jerry actually wants the cowboys to be Psuedo Competitive. why? because if we really suck bad, then the cowboys haters don't pay attention neither do cowboys fans. it doesn't matter. if we are 15-1 and winning championships, then only cowboys fans pay attention and cowboys haters go away. its when we are in the middle, almost relevant that both sides are focused on cowboys. fans, hoping for next step. engaged. cowboys haters, focused on why cowboys aren't actually good. somewhere between 7-10 and 12-5..... just see last year, at 7-10 we were the 2nd most watched NFL team.
