With how much that game means to us (potentially home field throughout the playoffs, or at the very least a first round bye, I don't see how it could be a trap game.

OK, so I keep hearing by some on here about the Dolphins being a "trap game". Personally I think we will win big, them starting Rosen just made it easier. I don not think we will put up 60 like some think but it will be a convincing win.
My worry is the following game against the Saints. Ya I know that Brees is out but they still have Bridgewater who, like Dak, can move the ball on the ground. They also have a very good running game and lets face it, we have had some trouble stopping the run.
Defense, this will be a test for Moore, they have a solid defense that can make some plays.
It just seems that every time we play this team, we win when they are suppose too and they win when we are suppose too.
Enjoy the Miami game for what it is, a regular season practice game (for us anyway), buckle down though, going to New Orleans will not be easy.
Not buying it - no trap games period. Any given Sunday...
No problem for fans to gauge whether or not a team on the schedule is a trap game, but the players had best bring it every week.
Teams that get their rear ends handed to them week in and week out are going to get tired of it and do a beat down on someone occasionally.
That being said, Go Cowboys!!

I think so too. We will see. Take it one week at a time. But yes, Saints could be 1-3, Dallas coming in high off being 3-0, Sunday Night at the Superdome...

The game is on the road no? They have a veteran backup. I don’t think that is a trap game, since it’s reasonable that the Saints won even if we play well.

I agree with you DHCBF66, the Saints are gonna be in Dallas's trap.:D. By the way, what does DHCBF66 stand for? I'm thinking something like Dallas Homer Cowboy Fan 66 ( George Andrie #66.) But that could only be my best guess.

It all comes down to how good Bridgewater is. In fairness to him, he's barely played in 4 freaking years, but he looked lost out there last Sunday.

The Saints are a loaded team. Their defense is legit, their OL and Kamara are legit, Michael Thomas could get 8 catches with Stephen Hawking as his quarterback. But in a league where teams throw the ball 65% of the time, they aren't going to go anywhere if their passing offense dies out. And a defense can only rally for so many drives before they finally break.

So keep a close eye on Teddy this week. As he goes, Cowboys/Saints will go.

We are not going undefeated guys, there are going to be some losses as we progress through the season.

Losing to the Saints in the Superdome on a Sunday Night nationally televised game is nothing to hang your head over. Yes, there is a real possibility we could lose that game because Bridgewater is not a scrub and the rest of their team is loaded.

Now losing to Miami, there is no excuse for that.

da Ain'ts game is not a trap game, imo
- Saints playing with a well known backup QB and he's probably is going to be caught up to par and more comfortable
in the starting lineup No.1's by that time, and he has a terrific surrounding cast with the likes of Kamara, Thomas and Ginn Jr.
/plus that's in a loud atmosphere where it's tough to win. and they have a darn good defense
- plus their arrogant fans still hate us out of still pure jealousy of the popularity of still being America's Team ..! :omg:

Im going to the game, Im from LA. These Saints fans are one game from putting bags back on... but they will show up in full force because they hate the Cowboys just has much has their division rivals. Trust me.

Seriously? No, the New Orleans game isn’t a trap game except for maybe a few moronic fans. The entire organization knows this will be a tough game to win regardless who’s under center. This is the absolute opposite of a so-called “trap game”.

If you lose to a team you should beat it's because you didn't mentally prepare yourself to win, and weren't focused on the task at hand. Calling it a "trap" is just an excuse.
That's the definition of a trap game.

A game the team should win but instead loses because players (and possibly coaches) didn't mentally prepare and didn't put enough focus on the game because they expected to win.

A trap game is one where the team underestimates the opponent.

I don't see that happening to the Cowboys in the Saints game.

Teddy wasn't known as a guy that can move the ball on the ground before his near career ending injury. He’s not now either.

I agree with everything else.

How in the world can the Saints be a trap game? Brees or no Brees that is no trap game. Reel it in.

If brees isn’t playing then we have a good chance of winning. No trap there because they still have a talented roster and good head coach. After a few games they will have a good plan for there backup qb and he will be more comfortable. We have to stuff the run and pressure him to make him make mistakes. And we need to get up on them quick.
