I will wait until the Dolphins game is in the books with a win before I worry about the Saints, but is it a trap game? are you saying that the saints are the trap, pre-packers or that miami is the trap, pre-saints? doesn't "trap" imply that you are looking ahead?

OK, so I keep hearing by some on here about the Dolphins being a "trap game". Personally I think we will win big, them starting Rosen just made it easier. I don not think we will put up 60 like some think but it will be a convincing win.
No one is seriously thinking the Cowboys score 60 points on Sunday. That just doesn't happen in this league unless the defense gets 3 TD's and there is a return game TD or 2.

Going against the Saints isn't a trap game. The Saints are really good, with a HoF coach, stellar defense and above average offense. Even Without Drew Brees, this game still doesn't qualify as a trap game. The Dolphins or Jets game could be a trap game.

That's the definition of a trap game.

A game the team should win but instead loses because players (and possibly coaches) didn't mentally prepare and didn't put enough focus on the game because they expected to win.

Calling it a trap game beforehand is just making an excuse in advance. This team and some of its fans have been making excuses for years.

Playing the Saints on a Sunday night in the Superdome is somehow a trap game for Dallas? Not even close. Brees, Bridgewater, Hill, Aaron Brooks....or whoever they pull out of the stands to play QB.. the game will be a dogfight.

The Saints play @ Seattle this week. That's a very possible loss. That means we would be playing a pissed of Saints team in their own house. Not an easy win. Just speaking for myself, every loss is hard to accept but losing to a talented team like the Saints is easier to accept. What I would have a hard time accepting is losing to a bad team like Miami. ;)

Should be able to tell a lot from the NO at Seattle game. Maybe they can lay out a game plan we can use to help us on both offense and defense. Even if the Saints win that game, we will have a complete game on film with Bridgewater. That may be a closer game than expected, as they will not know what the NO game plan is at first.

Then we can see if Bridgewater will be decent or not or just average.

Every game is a trap game it seems with most on this forum. :lmao: No such thing go out and kick butt in every game.
It's called taking care of business. I have hated this expression "trap game" since I first heard it uttered. No one on the Cowboys is going to take a caviler attitude when it comes to a talented team like the Ain't. Besides that, I'm quite sure just having to go to that "snake-pit" of a thing called the Superdome to play will give our players enough incentive to go out there and whip their butts. Their fans have disrespected us in our own house enough to make this a somewhat bitter rivalry imo.

Calling it a trap game beforehand is just making an excuse in advance. This team and some of its fans have been making excuses for years.

Calling it a trap game is criticizing the team in advance.

It's not an excuse when someone is saying that the Cowboys might not show up prepared. That's a criticism, not an password.

Side Note: I don't like words like excuse that are both a verb and noun with the same spelling.

Every game is not a trap. The Saints don't suck even without their starting QB. Their D is still pretty good and they have a capable QB under center. They're not trash and they're home.

My worry is the following game against the Saints. Ya I know that Brees is out but they still have Bridgewater who, like Dak, can move the ball on the ground. They also have a very good running game and lets face it, we have had some trouble stopping the run.
Defense, this will be a test for Moore, they have a solid defense that can make some plays.
It just seems that every time we play this team, we win when they are suppose too and they win when we are suppose too.
Enjoy the Miami game for what it is, a regular season practice game (for us anyway), buckle down though, going to New Orleans will not be easy.
If we are not focused for this game, it's on Garrett's and Dak's shoulders. A great leader will not let that happen.

The Saints are still a dangerous team even without Brees. No one on that roster thinks otherwise because Garrett won't let them. It's not a trap game.
TRUE SP WILL bring Kamra , the run game, and that slash type QB Will whatever his name is and devise game plan to take advantage of our weakness..you know not being able to stop a great run game yet..especially with ton of movement and action..

its not trap at all.. we are on the road and even without Brees, they have weapons..add in they are looking for revenge after last year..

We beat them in New Orleans with Brees a few years ago.
:dance::oldcouple::dance:

Yeah, way back in 2014. Romo pitched a near perfect game and Murray ran wild. Dallas hammered them.

We'll be favored this year too. Just pointing out that they are generally a much tougher out in that dome.
