I think they needed this loss

You tell yourself whatever you need to. Did they also need the GB loss and putrid Houston performance?

I might be alone on this, but for the last 2 weeks, they've been keeping bad teams around, pulling it out in the end. If there's any shot in the playoffs, the players needed to be humbled a bit and make sure they concentrate on the team in front of them. This is a gut check. Maybe they need a loss next week too. Who's going to step up and win it. Dallas plays better when they're on their heels. They're terrible when they're drinking their own juice.
They are going to get embarrassed next week. That looking ahead to the Eagles line is BS (not saying you said that). Teams are exposing us on offense and defense. They better find a way to make some quick fixes are we are in deep trouble.

I was throwing a similar thought around. I didn’t think the division was in reach the last few weeks. So maybe some embarrassment and an angry team going into the playoffs is better.

That’s all just psychological reaching since the team is struggling and the division is gone after this loss and the Eagles win.

Sucks that is comes to psychological reaching.
I think the bigger problem is we have an injured team going into the playoffs. Starting to drop like flies.

Well, they have been humbled two weeks in a row at home and now on the road. With Philly on the schedule next, it's wake up time.

I said last week this team has a “feel” where they can tough out games. This week more concerned because I don’t think teams fear us or the D anymore. Even bad teams go at us.

They're woke. They just can't overcome their offensive coordinator, their coach or their quarterback.
It's the same ole, same ole, and it's not going to get magically better somehow.
It truly IS one of the other usually.

And old as hell Jerry thinks shoving OBJ into that situation is a great idea.

Or, they just aren't that good and have benefited from the easiest schedule in franchise history.

Or, they just aren't that good and have benefited from the easiest schedule in franchise history.

We played Washington, NY, Philly x2, Cincinnati, and Minnesota. It doesn't seem like the schedule has been all that easy for any team in the NFCE.

We also played the Rams before the wheels completely fell off, and have the Titans on the horizon.

I'm assuming you're pulling that off of opponents win pct; it just surprises me.

The loss against Green Bay should have been enough to wake this team up. We allow bad teams to hang around because we’re not very good. We’ve blown a 14 point and 17 point lead this season. The writing is on the wall for where this season is heading.
There sad part is big leads was supposed to be our formula for winning - get big leads and the D can tee off and kill the QB...

This team, coaches and owners are too dumb and arrogant to learn. The culture is poisoned. They should of learned from the GB game not to get complacent with a lead. The Colts and Texans' game should of taught them to never overlook an inferior team but look at where we are.

It's not a question of learning anything; they are an average team. If all is healthy and going well, then you get a 10 to 12 win team. As soon as they get injuries or a couple bad breaks the wheels come off. That's why they collapse at the end of nearly every season as injuries mount. They are simply regressing to the mean. I fully expect them to lose out and finish 10 - 7. If that gets them to the playoffs, then they finish 10 - 8.

you dont need a loss

this is pure situational football...you make the jags use their timeout idc if you run it and lose yards

you make them go 90+ with no timeouts
