We have two good backs. But we're gonna come across that team that uses their speed to stop our speed and I just feel like we need a bruiser. I can see us losing a game or two at the goalline.

Do we have an inside the 5 back with Micah or even LVE?

Now that I think about it, you wouldn't know what to do as a defense if Micah lined up as a HB behind Vander Esch at FB.

Any chance we see Micah on offense in this role?
I think our RB room is 10 times better than it was last year.

We are faster, more versatile and fit roles.

Yes, we don't have the clear power back but I think between Dowdle, Jones and Hunter....one of them should be able to fill it.

Much of the heavy lifting of a short yardage run (goal line run), is done by the OL and the TE’s. I’ve seen smaller backs get TD’s on a 1 yard run to the end zone. It isn’t just a Mike Alstott type RB that runs on short yardage.

I’m not sure that the team feels the same way you do about needing a big, bruising RB.

If they do, they’ll probably make the trade that you’re talking about. If they don’t, they likely won’t… so we should know in the next week if they view it like you do.
LOL........someone that understands football.

The Oline and TE's are 80% of short yardage success. Amazing that most of these fans actually think its having a big RB.

Speaking of backs . Between Pollard Deuce and please MM don’t go KM and leave the 3rd back in the dust bin , use Dowdle, I think I watch Pollard as he approaches carry 12 in a game a start a heavy use of backs 2 & 3.

Exactly. Pollard has exceptional balance, and Deuce looks like he could be awfully sneaky—good skills to find the goal line beyond being a bulldozer.
