I think we need to talk about coaching around the league

I know we like to complain about Schotty and Parker. And it is true that coaching matters.. and it's easy to have a bubble as Cowboys fans focusing only on the Cowboys..but I think we need to talk about coaching around the league. Specifically, the lack of quality.

Just today, without the Cowboys playing, the Jaguars and Eagles played a game in England where there was....a lack of intelligent coaching on both sides. Sirianni looked like a total moron as usual, such as allowing a return when JAX had no timeouts. Cohen made some braindead decisions like the wildcat on first and goal at the 1. The Seahawks just made an incredibly dumb decision to not kneel it out with 18 seconds leading into half. Meanwhile, the Commanders apparently forgot that they didn't have timeouts, while the Giants fumbled in a critical situation.

That's just some of the obvious errors today that were hilarious. The point is, our coaches are far from the only ones. It's shocking to see what seems to be across the board idiotic coaching. Our entire division has horrible HCs. Seattle's defending champion coach made a braindead decision. And this was all today.

So, I have to ask.....what happened? Is it all just the focus on analytics that people forgot about intelligent decisions? Have people forgotten how to manage the clock? It's funny how that was something that we complained so much about with Mike McCarthy when he was here, but we have seen a lot of it around the league just today without us playing. Just kind of shocking to see. Funny, but shocking.

Blame Vegas!!

I mean, there's that, but that doesn't exactly entirely explain how braindead the coaching appears to be around the NFL lol. Think about it. These are supposed to be the 32 best minds in American Football as they're NFL head coaches.....and just today, there were 7 massive errors, not counting Thursday Night.

It's true but at least those teams resemble a football team. I think coaches today just try to outsmart each other. Take the points, pay attention and hold onto the ball. Football fundamentals.

That and just....coaching that would make Jimmy, Landry, and Vince Lombardi's heads spin at just the level of idiocy on display across the league rn at the coaching ranks lol.

And now, apparently (not seeing the game) the Broncos just had a braindead coaching situation with Sean Payton!!! WTH is going on with the coaching around the league? I didn't see what happened, but a buddy who's a Broncos fan apparently is beside himself about something that happened with the Broncos coaching.

So what does that say about Dallas if the coaching in this league is so bad and they have a losing record … and look horrible losing

Gambling is a thing…the nfl is pushing gambling so its possible coaches are fixing games

Mistakes happen….but some of these you just done make

Like Ryans calling timeout…..

Or Parker and the cowboys defense leaving men WIDE open….not even Jerry Rice was good enough to be open by 20 yards multiple times per game

What happened in Washington is also a sign….who does that? Situational football is a thing….

I think you hit on some of it with analytics. It’s taking away from critical thinking and risk assessment. It’s what happened in MLB with the DH.

That last play by Warshington was reminiscent of Chris Webber in 92. Just pure braindead. Both Quinn and Daniels.

Well, exactly, it's like, if you're in OT, you're in FG range, and you're down to less than 20 seconds with no timeouts, you kick the field goal. Like, there's no doing the simple thing. It's just idiotic coaching that gets beyond insane to watch lol.

Tbf, Bland fell on a key deep play against TB. Bland has been horrible.
