why?
Dang, you are right. I owe him an apology. I can't believe they didn't stop it either. In Jayden Daniels defense, he truly believed that the play clock was going to stop with 5 seconds remaining to honor his jersey number.
I don’t disagree. Coaching gets judged based on whether it works out though. Shotty made sure what happened to Washington didn’t happen to us by telling Dak to throw it away if it isn’t wide open, but because we left 7 seconds on the clock and we lost he is still called stupid.
Fish may be reading here lol. Or he had the same idea at same time. He focuses on the NFCE .
Dumb Dumber Dumberer, and Dumbest
This is you just barley scrathces the surface that's if we walk games like every game being every second realize that there's some better coaches than we have making bigger mistakes in games especially time management and analytic type of decisions,
It's been going on for a while and it appears we watch every second of every Dallas game BUT if you guys watch every second of every other games, you find out that there are misstakes being made by better coaches and teams than us, that had bigger aspirations than the Cowboys this year, that either have the same record right now or worse, could anybody have seen the Chargers being winless right now that's I gotta say harbuagh name.hmm
I'm getting a single buy all the records by all the teams and I realize we focus on our team but when you look at the league right now other than 49ers being 5-0 in the NFC, and they do not look unbeatable ay all, Did you know that you made the league at punts and three and outs Ironic huh..
I don't see another front runner in the NFC that IF the Cowboys that can get their poop together, Could have chance at the division or at least a WC..
Seeing Schotty do some type of Analytics instead of USING YOUR GUT/COMMON SENSE, like the Jimmy Johnson era used to do, tells us all we need to know.I know we like to complain about Schotty and Parker. And it is true that coaching matters.. and it's easy to have a bubble as Cowboys fans focusing only on the Cowboys..but I think we need to talk about coaching around the league. Specifically, the lack of quality.
Just today, without the Cowboys playing, the Jaguars and Eagles played a game in England where there was....a lack of intelligent coaching on both sides. Sirianni looked like a total moron as usual, such as allowing a return when JAX had no timeouts. Cohen made some braindead decisions like the wildcat on first and goal at the 1. The Seahawks just made an incredibly dumb decision to not kneel it out with 18 seconds leading into half. Meanwhile, the Commanders apparently forgot that they didn't have timeouts, while the Giants fumbled in a critical situation.
That's just some of the obvious errors today that were hilarious. The point is, our coaches are far from the only ones. It's shocking to see what seems to be across the board idiotic coaching. Our entire division has horrible HCs. Seattle's defending champion coach made a braindead decision. And this was all today.
So, I have to ask.....what happened? Is it all just the focus on analytics that people forgot about intelligent decisions? Have people forgotten how to manage the clock? It's funny how that was something that we complained so much about with Mike McCarthy when he was here, but we have seen a lot of it around the league just today without us playing. Just kind of shocking to see. Funny, but shocking.
Well after two losing seasons isn't that a step in the right direction I mean you have to take a small step forward after taking some huge steps back and the way this season has started I'll take that I'll take a wild card if you if they can find a way to claw their way back in it get a wild card that's your first step towards Schottenheimer and Parker's pairing that maybe they can move forward and actually have some success together..I mean, I'd like to think we can win the division. That's about the bar I had for the Cowboys lol. But yeah, it's been crazy this season so far with how many stupid coaching decisions there have been. Like, objectively stupid. Not like, oh the play didn't work out. It's like, no, this is stuff that a HS coach wouldn't do lol.
Good pointsSeriously, blame the over reliance on analytics and the extreme "noise" by media & fans whenever a decision doesn't work out. I think coaches have seriously gotten scared to go with their gut. Worried about what they can defend the best in a press conference.
I was saddened to see the quality of play around the league.
I had Redzone on mute and I get home u got puzzles with my kids in the couch and I’m make zipping through the dvr at the ends of the games . Everyone is idiots . Are they only playing half enough to be there for gambling? Are coaches not doing that 12 hour a day stuff anymore?
This wiener dan Quinn throw his cell phone down like dang it Bobby hill but it’s like you goof you been fired by teams already before you don’t practice timeouts and clocks?
The falcons and the giants and the cowboys and the eagles it’s like they aren’t paying attention anymore. It was jsut dumb
Seeing Schotty do some type of Analytics instead of USING YOUR GUT/COMMON SENSE, like the Jimmy Johnson era used to do, tells us all we need to know.
Those guys have multiple offers for significant compensation. Given a choice head coach candidates will not choose the Cowboys. Unless, of course, Jerry Jones would outbid other interested teams for a top head coach candidate. He won’t.I really really think that’s the biggest thing holding us back.
Yes Parcells never took us to a Super Bowl, but he made us competent and buttoned up. We actually over achieved in his time here based on the talent.
I know it’s gonna kill Jerry bc he never goes this route. BUT WE NEED A TRUE HEAD COACH WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD PERIOD.
