So, I think we want Buffalo to win it all. Here are the stakes for the conference championships

In the NFC, you have the Washington Commanders (Division Rival) at the Philadelphia Eagles (Division Rival). Washington has 3 Lombardi's. Philly is Philly.

In the AFC, Buffalo (no Lombardis and a super loyal fan base) at the Kansas City Chiefs (4 Lombardis).

Go Buffalo!
I also appreciate the way Josh Allen plays all out.

I'd like to see Bills/Skins and don't care who wins.

If it was guaranteed that Quinn would look straight into the camera and say "we did it our way baby!" then I'm rooting for Wash.

I bet Jerry is rooting for the Bills or anyone in the AFC. We should be rooting for the Skins bc that is the win that Jerry would find the most embarrassing given that they were in the same boat as us just last year.

I will not root for an over-rated Josh Allen I'm sorry. I'm hoping Washington wins so that can light a fire under Jerry. Well I don't know if it would, but at least I can dream.
I wish the ‘over-rated’ Allen was running the huddle in Dallas. He’s younger and significantly more capable than Mr. Sixty-Mill. Dude is nails.

Now for an opinion as it pertains to the thread topic and Jerry Jones.

I think he roots for the Buffalo Bills. Jones will always want the league to grow in popularity. A Bills championship will promote more bandwagon fans to adopt the team. Another league member winning the championship will eventually pay dividends as a carrot in NFL negotiations with the networks and streaming services for broadcast rights down the road.

Jones probably feels indifferent to the Kansas City Chiefs winning it all. They have been there and done that. Plus, a Chief's win occurring in the opposite conference does not impact his self-delusion, which is rooted in the NFC.

In my opinion, some are thinking (and wanting) Jones to feel embarrassment for either a Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Commanders win. I do not agree. Methinks any outcome involving those two teams will result in hardening his heart even more. Both are rivals that will make him that much more determined to prove Dallas is the best team in the NFC East. And he will remain convinced that he is the only person qualified and justified (through his purchase of the team) to make everyone else see how right he is.

I know some folks put more emphasis on the illogical notion of rooting for other teams. Be certain of how Jones will actually react if you root for the Eagles or Washington.

I'm kind of joking LOL

I used to spend a lot of time up in your neck of the woods white water kayaking.

You find out pretty quick where you stand up there with some if you don't speak French. I've also traveled enough to also understand that when in a foreign country, speaking loud and slow doesn't help others who don't speak English any better, and since I'm a guest in their country, people always be needed to be treated with respect.

This was close to 30 years ago when you could cross the boarder with ease, so perhaps things have changed.

That said, I can honestly say I never met someone up there who boated that wasn't pretty cool, even if they spoke French (LOL), and always returned the hospitality if I came across Canadian boaters in NY or even WV doing some boating.

Took my son up to the Finger Lakes in NY a couple of years ago as a "father and son" vacation to show him where his grandfather did his basic training in the early 50's (hadn't been up to NY in over 20 years since then). The irony is the only two drivers I came across up there that reminded me of Jersey drivers had Québec plates

It's all good, if I offended you, I apologize.

Sorry, off track...
No offense taken friend, don’t worry about it. Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

Nowadays, I’d say most people in Montreal (maybe 65-70%) understand English enough to at least have a basic conversation but in smaller cities and remote regions of the province it can be more complicated for sure. The deeper you get the less bilingual people you’ll find basically.

We have some jerks here too of course like everywhere else but in general, folks like tourists and will try to accommodate and help them the best they can. On the other hand, someone who’s been living here for decades and still doesn’t speak a lick of French well... that’s another story lol.
Come eat poutine with us anytime.

When we were boating up there, it would generally be in BFE (American slang for Bum F Egypt) which means in the middle of no where, no where close to anything.

Like I said, this was decades ago, so things may have changed.

Do I think everyone from Philly is a butthole? No. However, as people, we tend to generalize to make things easier on our brains. Do I think everyone from Jersey on the Garden State parkway is a butthole? No different than driving on the beltway around DC IMO LOL

From my experiences, I kind of shudder at being in Philly, driving on the Garden State parkway, driving around the beltway around DC, and being in Canada where people don't speak English (you try to be nice not knowing how to speak French, but you still get the "evil eye". But that was a LONG time ago from my own experiences.

The next trip to Canada will be a railroad excursion across the county like my parents did with my wife. Getting older and driving 15 hours non stop I've kind of gotten away from because my body can't handle what I use to do for sporting things outside. That said, if you ever get to North Carolina, after being here for 20 years, I can take you to some of the best BBQ places around (and when I moved down here from up North, BBQ sandwich in my mind meant a sloppy joe LOL).

I'm in New England but closer to Montreal than Boston and I see the same thing.
So it’s not all in my head after all lol good to know.
I don't know man. I have been in the Montreal Forum and the Belle Centre a million times wearing a Boston Bruins jersey and loudly cheering for my Bruins against their most hated rivals. Never had a problem. From what I witnessed in Veterans Stadium the one time I was there you would never get away with that in Philly.

The only time I ever got any flack at all in Montreal was when I wore a Team USA jersey to a world cup game in 2002. Even then though it was the politest and most non-threatening flack you could imagine.
Nothing beats a good ol’ Habs/Bruins playoff matchup imo, too bad the rivalry wore off a bit in the last decade or so with us being so bad… The rebuild isn’t over yet but at least we’re finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, our games should start meaning something again soon! Looking forward to it.

I am rooting for Buffalo obviously but my second choice would be Washington because they are the ones I hate the least of the other 3. I also have some friends that have suffered through some difficult times as commander/skin fans

Lamar looked pretty good in the 4th quarter.
He played well in the 2nd half. But his int and fumble earlier were huge. He still did enough but Andrews choked down the stretch. Happens every time with them.

KC is the only team I trust to beat Philly
Hurts IMO has been hurting the Eagles IMO when I see him play.

Doesn't seem like Brown or Smith really have been getting any long range passes from Hurts. Honestly, seems that hurts has regressed this year. When he seemed to be hurt last nigh after being tackled, I was really curious if they were going to bring in their 3rd stringer for a couple of snaps. Think his name is McKee, and he seems better than Pickett IMO.

Daniels picked apart the Eagles secondary the last time they met and won the last game with little time on the clock their last meeting.

I'm actually kind of expecting Washington to beat Philly next week.

Eagles got to be looking for a field goal kicker, and there is a part of me that wouldn't put it past the eagles to unload hurts LOL

Hurts hit AJ Brown with a great long ball that he dropped at the goal line yesterday. And in the game Daniel's "won" during the regular season, Hurts hit Smith in the hands with a perfect pass across the middle that would have iced the game, and he too dropped the ball, which is what allowed the Commanders to come back and win that game.

That said, he absolutely could play better. But it's a strange situation, if they come out passing and Hurts throws for 300, but Barkley only gets 10 touches and runs for 50 and the Eagles lose, imagine the flack the organization takes for not riding their best player....

I like the Chiefs, but I really don't care who wins it. I'd just like to see some good games. I don't care for Sirianni, because he reminds of some idiot i dont care for, but if he wins, congratulations.
