I think we will sign Moore, Clabo or Winston

This seems like it might be the plan. Hopefully, everyone we're interested in is still available after the draft. It's possible. Signings have really cooled off to the point where they're hardly happening these days. I'm sure teams are in full-on draft mode and will jump on the top FAs after the draft to fill the holes that they didn't fill during the draft. Give me one top OL in the draft and one of the FAs we keep talking about and I think this line will be solid next season. If we can stay healthy and actually create a few turnovers on defense we will be contenders IMO.

Also, the players probably realize that they'll have more leverage after the draft. Whatever team needs OL help, but didnt get it in the draft, will be more likely to shell out bigger money than they would right now.

This why I hate Jerry sometimes. He's going to try get a couple free agent linemen just like last year, might work doubt it. Instead of drafting some young guys that will probaly be better and cheaper. he cant stand draft lineman! Just not flashy enough for Jerry. The reason they won in the 90's cause they had a good line. Jerry is just to dumb to see that I guess.
hopefully he has an epiphany while he's presenting larry allen in the hof this summer.

It can be frustrating, no doubt.

It probably doesn't hurt right now that when he finally did take a lineman early in the 1st round recently, any re-draft would have him NOT making that pick but instead taking JJ Watt.

In fact, NFL.com currently has a 2011 re-draft, and of course they have Dallas taking Watt. They have Smith not being taken until the 22nd pick.

I still think Smith will end up being very good. But just saying that Jerry may still be licking his wounds over missing out on a game changer (and NFL defensive player of the year) Watt.

The one I saw, Gil Brandt has Dallas passing on TSmith, Watt and Von Miller and taking Nate Solder.

I think Moore would be my favourite of the trio because I believe Parnell still has a lot of growth in him due to how new he is at the position and how little gametime he has had in his career. He has ideal physical dimensions and athleticism for the position and he has shown growth on the field every year. Callahan apparently believed he was ready to play over Free last year and he did just fine in his first taste of NFL action.

So If we got Moore and Parnell nails down RT and we grab Cooper in the draft we could be looking at:

Smith Cooper Costa Moore Parnell

I think that would be an above average OL and maybe even a top 10 unit out there if Smith and Parnell show the growth I expect, Costa picks up where he left off last year and Cooper hits the ground running as the Pro Bowler I expect him to become.

I think Solder is going to struggle at times because of his height. I think Smith will be the superior player. Everyone has to remember that he is only 22 this year which is usually the age most players enter the NFL. He also was dominant in his rookie season at RT and probably struggled part of the year from the switch to LT and the change in coaches.

I do think if we had to do the draft over you take Watt but there was very little sign that Watt was going to be the disruptive player he is when he went into the draft. Many people still had him going in the second round leading up to the draft so he really climbed up on the board late in the season.
