I thought Sendejo Vikings SS had potential before the Cowboys cut him

We have an UDFA safety that makes plays who is unappreciated. If he went to another team and made a couple back to back season saving plays like he did agianst Oakland the respect for Heath would jump off the charts.
I too like Heath. Reminds me of Bill Bates.

Irvin was a very dependable player until sadly his career wss cut short due to that neck injury. So much so that he was nicknamed the Playmaker...

i think the conversation is about david, not michael.

Yeah, Irvin has been a real dependable player. Just a rock of consistency. lol

Cooper had a good year?

Brice just electrified us with his 1 catch per game average over 3 seasons.

Identifying and evaluating talent has been a team issue for the better part of 20 years.......... sans Parcels tenure where he took a 5-11 team and acquired so much talent that even Wade and Garret could win 13 games with it.

Obviously you missed the point.. Every year teams find players with attributes that fit their scheme better than the team that originally drafted them. Likewise, there is no guarantee the a player would have similar success had they stayed with the original team. I wasn’t stating any of the players I mentioned were All pros, but can say I’d rather have Irving over Sendejo all day.
And secondly, your point ab finding talent is off base and.. well, wrong. The Cowboys have the most drafted pro bowlers over the last decade or so.. so please do your research before you make erroneous comments. Your embarrassing yourself, not to mention.. try spelling Parcells and Garrett correctly.

I see this thread got the Heath lovers to come out from hiding.

Wow. Personal attack? Always the last resort of those struggling to make their point.

If the number of pro bowlers mattered, you would have a point. Last I checked, the goal of an NFL team was winning not personal accolades. In the absence of team success, I guess this gives fans like you comfort. We have more pro bowlers!!. WAHOO!!!! (just don't look at the rest of the roster)

Look at the record. We are 1-3 in 2 playoff appearances in the last 7 seasons. OBVIOUSLY there are personnel issues. Big ones.

Then why did they extend him in 2016?
I'm not in the Vikings camp, so I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sendejo is a great story and an overachiever. Works his bum off, good guy to have around. However, he's not some awesome probowler we need to be worried about letting go. W/o talent around him, he'd be terrible. And right now we're having trouble surrounding anyone on our D w/ talent. Not an accident that Barry Church had 5 picks and is a nice part of the best D in the NFL. Do I regret letting Church go? Not all that much. He's a nice player and a good complementary piece. Not worth what they gave him, but a good addition nonetheless.
