I tried to warn everyone. A lot of us did

Ah, yes: ‘I told you so’, that most helpful of responses to pain and disappointment.

Can I get the name of your Better Help account?
Pain and disappointment is self-inflicted in this forum. Go back to the spring threads and look at how many on here anointed CP as the savior of the defense. They had nothing concrete to bolster their hopes but they continued to throw false narratives around auch as worrying about losing him after the season because of his success. Being realistic on this board gets you labeled as an eternal pessimist. The folks who want CP fired are the same who wanted to give him a lifetime contract and keys to the city.

The constant here is Jerry and his son. As long as the control the team, expect the worse and be surprised if it doesn't happen. Thirty years of failure is the proof.

Jerry spends but spends on the wrong players...Stephen doesn't like to spend so look at what we have to look forward to......

Sure, but that’s a totally different issue than what I’m talking about.

I understand. But it ties into my point about how many members on this forum go to extremes each preseason. Tempering their enthusiasm is key to not being "I told you so." It's rinse and repeat each season. I wonder why makes this type of fan so gullible? The same thing will happen again in '27. It's comical actually.

I don’t disagree, but we can still choose not to mock those who’ve mocked us, ultimately. Not saying you’re doing that; just that I see a lot of tit-for-tat on this board.

To what end may I ask?
Say they finish 10 and 7 or 9 and 8 and win the division.
They will get absolutely blasted in the playoffs.
You play good teams in the palyoffs.
I am actually looking at the past 30 seasons and the overall playoff failures of this team.
I want THAT fixed.
Wont be till Jerry gone.
If we can actually win 9 or 10 games, that would more than likely mean we’re improving, because without any, we’re not going anywhere near that. Then maybe anything can happen. And no I don’t think it’ll happen. Lol

They did not lose because the fans took them lightly. The fans don’t play the games. Dallas lost because at every level of the organization there’s a putrid smell of mediocrity.

I had convinced myself they'd win handily last night. I have no idea what the hell I was smoking.
Whatever it was, pass some of it over this way, lol.
I felt the same way, an 0-4 team without its starting QB. If you can't assume a W then, then when? I understand - any given sunday, but C'MON.
I was spared from watching it on tv because I have no way or idea how to get prime channel or whatever. I was shocked to get home and check the score and it was 24-10 with a few minutes gone in the 4th. I already know the D is awful, but wheres our O at? We all know this year to have any chance at a W the O is going to have to score 40. 16 will never cut it.

Agreed this is looking more like a 8 and 9 team

Jerry hired Schotty over Vrabel and Ben Johnson. Comfort over competence. We all suffer for it.
he couldnt have got either of those guys.
Vrabel went where he wanted to go, and ben had already signed with bears before our bozo gm decided to part ways with MM.
I doubt harbaugh would have come here, better deal and players in NY, and payton wanted denver more than dallas.
Plus Jones boys are cheap tightwads and they dont want to pay 10 to 15 mil a year for a HC.
Then they wouldnt even call bellichek,
They are too cheap and too slow to react to opportunities when they occur.
They didnt even try to get vrabel or ben lol.

I guess jerry still thinks he can win with any of 500 HC lol.

I was hoping shotty and CP would be good, but I guess they are not. Jerry wont fire them and eat the contracts so we are doomed to this crap for years lol.
Then he will extend dak for 80 mil a year lol
being a cowboy fan is so much fun isnt it??

you just have to be a amazon prime member and you get free shipping on purchases and the prime videos and nfl games are then free.

I watched the TB from last week, the qb played pretty good in that game , his first game.
TB lost by 3 to GB.
So I knew the game would be tougher than most thought.
I did think dallas would win, but that long drive by TB at begining just put dallas to sleep lol.
After that it was mistake after mistake and bad play by players, bad coaching too.

Anyone who is expecting the Cowboys to have an easy win last night was delusional.

And this is the problem with our fan base. Like the players, they look at the record and not the team that’s going on the field.

Our fan base took Tampa lightly so did the team and here we are.

Nothing has changed. The culture is the same.

This team was unprepared unwilling and just simply not good enough.

I don’t wanna hear excuses about 11 days. I don’t wanna hear excuses about injuries. Tampa was missing it starting quarterback.. the injury excuses stop there.

Our fan base is embarrassing. And I’m not expecting to see any of the guys on here today who love calling realistic fans names.

I’m not expecting anyone to eat crow about how wrong they were about this team.

As it stands right now, we have one of the worst defences in the league after investing quite a bit into it, our offence refuses to run the ball because our head coach in over his head, and our owner sees nothing wrong because he did the work to put this team on the field and this coaching staff together.

I hope you guys are in for a wild ride because this season might be the worst one we’ve seen in a long time.

And this all starts at Jerry, thinking he’s the smartest man in the room, trying to prove to the football world that he’s a football guy when he’s not.
What are you even saying it has to do with us the fans. You realize the Cowboys were 9.5 point favorites right? What a horrible take.

Jerry has a very specific trait that he looks for during coaching hiring interviews.
I think we should all know what that is by now, if....... we have been following and paying attention for a minute or two.

Ok, thanks. Yes, keep reading about the coaching decisions, yet again. Sure don't get the going for 2 points there - that was odd to see.
I am wondering if because he wimped out in the Ravens game that now every week he is going to go out of his way to prove to everybody what a risk taker he is to make up for that. Hope not

I whole lot of Cowboy fans today refuse the Kool-Aid. We've endured three decades of mismanagement and therefore don't even get our hopes up anymore. Today, I think there are more "I'll believe it when I see it" Cowboy fans than "This is our year" ones.

Agree, and where did that manifest from.
I'm scratching my head blaming the coaching and ownership like everyone else, but I have to reflect back on this schedule the last three weeks, and playing three games that tight in schedule is absurd.
Coming off victorious in a similar situation vs the Texans where we witnessed a heartbeat and a victory, what I witnessed vs the Bucs was total exhaustion.
Again No excuses.

yard away?

LOL. Dude stop it.

If that is how you look at the Baltimore game, you are living in an alternate reality.
This team is also a non Jayden Daniels injury and a competent coaching staff in Houston from being 0-5. It’s not a good football team. The HC and DC are in way over their heads. This staff is one of the worsts in the league. 3 decades and BS never sniffed a HC job anywhere. It’s not going to get better.

Dak the paint horse has never been the answer! I said that the day they have him all the cash! As long as people show up to Jerry world they do not care!
Quit watching this **** already after his 2nd big contract got done.
Then Jerry nominated Schotty....

No.

You just don't get it.

Doesn't mean its dumb.

This coach making his 10th mistake in similiar situations means it was never actually a chance, because he negates it being one.

You are just to blind to see it because you think this team can contend lol.

Let me spell it out for you.

This team is going no where. Even if they get to the playoffs. No where.

They have the worst defense in the NFL. And after last night I would love to see where they are penalty wise.

You seem to think they can beat anyone.

They cant. So far, they couldnt beat 3 out of 5 teams theyve faced.

And were lucky to beat the other 2.
So you mean we have a chance?
:muttley:

Yep, preach brother. Now we have some of the cheese eaters getting mad at us because they would rather direct their anger there than at themselves for getting suckered yet again despite warnings against doing so.
