I'm serious, and i think alot of people are in the same boat.

1. Whats pass interference anymore?
2. Whats Illegal Contact?
3. Whats a catch anymore?
4. Whats a football move?
5. Cannot hit the QB below the knees or in the head area or while trying to slide.
6. The tackler led with his head? i mean really think about that for awhile. and i dont mean upwards.
7. Hitting a defensless WR.
8. Kicking off from the 40.
9. only the booth can review plays in the final minutes of the halves
10 .every week players are getting fined, even for taunting.

Now i understand why some of these rules are in place, but these rules make it impossible for referees to do their job, and for all of us to cheer. (I mean i felt like a jackass, jumping up and down for Dez's catch, only to be told its not even a catch)

there is way too much gray area!!

Spot on, Chris. The worst part is it varies crew to crew. Some crews "call pass interference" the least or "call offensive line holding" the most. It's as if you must do a thorough scouting report on the officials and base your game plan on which crew you get.

One crew allows physical coverage by the corners while another will turn it into a flag fest.

Between last week's game and today's, the NFL has a Ray Rice-sized black eye.

Your #5 needs an addendum. Cannot hit the QB below the knees or late, unless its Tony Romo.

I switched over to the Denver game and literally the first play I saw was Peyton drawing a flag for this. Pissed me off after our game.

It's now up to dean blandino and his goons discretion. The games being ruined

exactly and his interpetation was wrong claiming Dez didnt have possesion while going down to the ground.

and I surely dont need Mike Peraria qued in everytime something is going to get reviewed.

No consistency. Not sure full time refs could help at this point. Not entirely sure why the crews don't stick together for the playoffs because what I have seen in the playoffs is WORSE than the regular season.

It's disgusting!, really wants to make me turn away from the NFL, the refs make up the rules as they go to their Discretion! And at their convenience what a scam and a travesty to Sports.

This is a major problem with the NFL product today. Nobody knows what the rules are anymore. Apparently not even the refs....

Two weeks in a row this forum will be consumed with ref talk and rightly so rather than the play on the field.

Isn't it shady how they all are sure to come in and make sure they have each others backs by agreeing when everyone knows they are wrong. Pushing an agenda through Jedi mind tricks

Too many rules for too many stupid things.

They want to change the game more and more and more to sell tickets. The only way you combat that sort of thing, and let them know that these rule changes ruin the game, is to stop buying tickets, stop watching games, and stop buying merch.

Until that happens you're going to continue to see the NFL continue down this path.

Peyton took a shot like that in his game, flag went flying. Strange, huh?

Not really. I expect when a QB gets hit a tick late for them to get a flag for doing it, unless its Romo. Clay Matthews hit low and late and business as usual. Same hit on Rodgers and everyones screaming about how dirty it is trying to take out his bad leg.

I shouldve added Goodell to the list for several reasons, especially with his love affair of London, and his never ending agenda to put 2 teams in LA.

The rule is, take care of your business for 4 quarters, you win no matter what's called. You fool around and think you're tough crap in the 2nd quarter, then you're sent home complaining about the refs. In other words, stop complaining, and take care of things every quarter, every down.

The review has the NFL HQ giving their input.

What's funny is that people will say 'well, the trained refs are telling us it's not a catch, so it must be true.' Yet in the Indy-Denver game Mike Carey said it was a fumble and the refs came back from review and said it wasn't.

It reminds me a bit of golf's rules. For those that don't know, there are some that say understanding the rules of golf in total is harder than passing the bar exam.

But what happens a lot of time is that people get so bogged down into every single word that they don't look at the big picture.

In this case...McCarthey wants a challenge as he tells them that he didn't catch the ball thru the ground.

So the focus for the refs becomes if the ball came loose as Dez went to the ground. And they start looking at the incorrect rule (CJ Rule).

Instead, they should have just looked at the play and said 'well, the ball came loose as it went to the ground. Why did it go to the ground? Because Dez was extending himself. What is the rule on catching the ball and then extending to advanace the ball and the ball coming loose?'

And that's why the post game shows and media get it wrong...they are looking at the wrong rule instead of understanding the basics as to what happened. And it's easier to say 'the rule sucks, but the refs went by the rule' rather than explain where the refs and the league were actually wrong.

I call it Lawyer ball. Pretty soon each team will have a designated lawyer argue calls to an in-game judge.

The are trying their best to ruin the game because they think they can broaden the fan base by limiting the violence and increasing the scoring.

Yes, because apparently there is not another team on the field playing to win either.

Actually Peyton drew a flag on the opening drive of the Denver game for a late, at the knees hit, that wasn't even nearly as late as the one Matthews threw on Romo on his TD pass.

It is what it is.

The league super protects certain QBs and leaves the rest for if they feel like throwing flags.
