The rule is, take care of your business for 4 quarters, you win no matter what's called. You fool around and think you're tough crap in the 2nd quarter, then you're sent home complaining about the refs. In other words, stop complaining, and take care of things every quarter, every down.

I disagree, too many games come down to the wire in the NFL, and this kinda stuff is going to keep coming up.

I'm serious, and i think alot of people are in the same boat.

1. Whats pass interference anymore?
2. Whats Illegal Contact?
3. Whats a catch anymore?
4. Whats a football move?
5. Cannot hit the QB below the knees or in the head area or while trying to slide.
6. The tackler led with his head? i mean really think about that for awhile. and i dont mean upwards.
7. Hitting a defensless WR.
8. Kicking off from the 40.
9. only the booth can review plays in the final minutes of the halves
10 .every week players are getting fined, even for taunting.

Now i understand why some of these rules are in place, but these rules make it impossible for referees to do their job, and for all of us to cheer. (I mean i felt like a jackass, jumping up and down for Dez's catch, only to be told its not even a catch)

there is way too much gray area!!

Iv'e been a diehard Cowboys fan for 44 years and am seriously contemplating giving it all up. I am fed up with the NFL. I quit watching the NBA because of how the refs control the games and now the NFL is now doing the same. So many judgement calls that they can easliy control outcomes. I feel cheated due to the amount of my time I've invested in watching the NFL games and to have what appears to be a dirty league playing with my emotions tells me I need to find a better use of my time. Maybe I'll just watch hockey until it gets corrupted too.

It's now up to dean blandino and his goons discretion. The games being ruined

Being ruined?????

It's done been obliterated.......

I seriously think I may have watched my last game. There is no integrity left in the game. When a game can't be settled between teams and is decided because of someones opinion. Then what is the point?

Supposedly we have a system in place that reviews plays in question....but what is the point if that process can't even be ran correctly?

How that play is overturn in the first place...is just beyond absurd. It's a questionable call and hence should have stood based on what was called on the field.

There is just too much influence behind the scenes that influence outcomes anymore.

Too much grey area because the league wants control. Well....they got control. And now have ruined everything that was good in the game.

I totally agree with you, being a diehard fan of football it starts to wear on you, Will I quit watch the Cowboys on Sundays probably not. I used to be a big fan of NASCAR, but its turned me off so bad that I "might" switch over and watch the last 10 laps or so. SMH

Are you to tell me the NFL league office is giving their input to the refs on the field during review?

Actually Peyton drew a flag on the opening drive of the Denver game for a late, at the knees hit, that wasn't even nearly as late as the one Matthews threw on Romo on his TD pass.

It is what it is.

The league super protects certain QBs and leaves the rest for if they feel like throwing flags.

I was surprised to hear Simms mention that those calls were not made in our game.

Too many rules for too many stupid things.

They want to change the game more and more and more to sell tickets. The only way you combat that sort of thing, and let them know that these rule changes ruin the game, is to stop buying tickets, stop watching games, and stop buying merch.

Until that happens you're going to continue to see the NFL continue down this path.

it is not so much about selling tickets= its pandering to the fantasy morons

For me.....its about the NFL and the media clearly rewarding Detroit for playing not to loose...not to take in-game risks and try to step above the competition

and then turn around...and have Garret go for it on 4th down, a maligned qB make the perfect thow, a receiver highlight catch.........trying clearly to play to win the game on their own merits............only to get penalized by an opinion on a opinion.

the NFL can loose their image they have been building for decades..........they took a big step toward that in the past 2 weeks.

Spot on, Chris. The worst part is it varies crew to crew. Some crews "call pass interference" the least or "call offensive line holding" the most. It's as if you must do a thorough scouting report on the officials and base your game plan on which crew you get.

One crew allows physical coverage by the corners while another will turn it into a flag fest.

Between last week's game and today's, the NFL has a Ray Rice-sized black eye.

What I hate is all of these heads of officiating (how many of these guys are there) all backing up any call these refs make.

I don't get how that ref had enough evidence to say Dez Bryant didn't make that catch. That he was completely sure Dez wasn't trying to stretch for the endzone or that his hand wasn't under the ball when it hit the ground.

Somehow he saw all of those things and ended our season.

Yes the fantasy stuff does play a huge factor in things as well except in the case of yesterday, with Dez, that ruling actually hurt any fantasy owners who had Dez in playoffs or anything.

But yeah I agree with you that fantasy very likely plays a big factor in things now because of the money involved in that stuff.
