That seems to be Garrett's theme.

Cut: Colombo, Barber (maybe)

Sign: Spears, Kosier, Sensy, Free

1) Gabe Carimi RT Wisconsin (trade down 5 or so spots and pick up a 3)

2) Mike Pouncey RG Florida (Wiz if he's there)

3a) Deuta Williams FS North Carolina

3b) John Moffett LG Wisconsin

4) Owen Marecic FB Stanford

5) Evan Royster RB Penn State

6) Mike Mohamed ILB Cal - Plays in 3-4 at Cal. Back up WILB who will compete for nickel. Best attribute is pass coverage.

7) Mike Blance DE Aubura

Carimi starts year one, Pouncey year 2, Moffett year 2 or 3.

My brother went to HS and played with Royster. OVERRATED.

Very Nice Pretty close to what I have. Not sure about FB in 4th. I have him in the 6th

that draft !!!! I would be bouncing off the walls if our draft went like that,,,I really want those two Wisconsin from .

I would definately like this draft. Only complaint is even if we don't sign Mankins, I could start Kosier another season and would like to draft a d-lineman with our 2nd round pick.

Just wondering but did your brother play behind him?

Started off so well but I hate the 4th and 5th round picks. We would get so much more use out a WR/RS in the 5th than a 3rd RB who wont get carries or return kicks.

Matt Szczczczur in that spot is a way better pick

I'm going by where NFLDS has him.

Could go RB/WR in 4 depending on what we do with Barber.

Cecil Shorts III WR Mount Union in 4.

or 3-4 DE in 4 if we keep Barber.

or Roy Helu Jr. RB Nebraska in 4 Owen Marecic in 5.

4 is high for a FB but he isn't any ordinary FB.

Can be an emergency LB and play goal line D. Should be good covering kicks with all his experience at LB.

If Deon Anderson is worth a 5 or a 6, Marecic is worth a 4......maybe......although ours is a high 4.

Kosier has 1-2 years left.

It's one thing to suck at drafting at OL so you have to go into FA and sign Kosier, Davis and Colombo.

It's a different brand of stupid all together if you don't go out and get the guys to replace those 3 before they are all worn down and decrepid.

Go get the best, most physcial RT, RG and LG available now and groom them before you have to go into free agency to do it all over again.

Skyler Green would beg to differ with you.

Talk to me when we cut Barber and Felix gets hurt.

We cut Barber and we need a physical guy who can get the short/tough yards.

Wish I knew how to multi-quote in one post.

What does Skyler Green have to do w/ anything?

WR/RS that we took in 4.

Unless we cut Roy which makes no financial sense no WR is going to do anything on this team. 1-3 WR's is set and we can see how much help Hurd/Ogletree/Manny provided this year. Even with Dez and Roy injuries they did nothing.

With the type of back Felix is we need to have a more physical bruiser.

I hate 3 RB's cuz they are a waste of a game day spot for the most part.

Unless your #3 is a light's out return man (makes no sense to have a scat back type with Felix. Need a bruiser IMO.

Or if your #3 RB can also be a part time FB.

I kinda like John Clay if he falls to 4-5 in that role.

Would love to see Owen and Clay in short yardage and goal line.

Cutting Roy Williams makes absolute financial sense. If you want to discuss that in detail I'd be glad to.

Cutting Roy Williams makes absolute winning sense.......Does that make sense?

Its time to move on. The guy cant do anything right. We need a slot WR w/ return skills.

I think Marty and/or John Phillips can block out of the backfield. W/ how many touches our top 4 weapons need I wouldnt use a 4th and 5th on 2 players who will rarely see the field

Yeah, I'd be interested.

I thought I read it was a $12 million cap hit to cut him and a $5 million hit to keep him.

The $7+ million is money that has already been paid out to Roy, it's simply a figure the figure that would count against the cap would be accelerated if you cut Roy.

To be clear, you are not saving any of that money if you keep Roy or not, it's already been paid-out.

However, if you decide to keep Roy, you're going to pay him $5.1 million to be your #3 WR (#4 really when you factor in Jason Witten).

Keep in mind, there is no other team in the league that is paying its #3 WR anywhere close to $5 million.

If you let Williams go, you are saving yourself from paying $5.1 million to a glorified #3 receiver.

Somebody told me it was 5 to keep or 12 million dollar cap hit to cut him.

Apparently they were wrong.

Please enlighten me.

and what's the cost to cut/keep Barber if you know?
