I Want Dallas to USe This Throwback Trick Return

That was fantastic Aikbach. Thanks for digging it out. Iit really brings back so many fond memories. Did you notice how thin and light the players were?...

speaking of throwbacks, I think the bills are wearing there throwbacks this week.

Oh, oh...the Cowboys don't have a chance now!

The eagles scored big time with theirs...

Now I am frightened...

Bills 52 - Boyz 14

:bang2:

whatever happened to the spot pass? wasn't it once legal to catch the kick off and throw a pass to a reciever downfield if the person who caught the kick off had not moved? That would be sweet.

Yeah...I remember that. Good thought!!

If the kickoff was fielded by the return guy and he did not move, he could pass it to someone...

I actually have every Cowboy Super Bowl burned to DVD from my days working at NBC, my buddy worked at NBC sports and after hours we would go back into the Rockefeller Center sports archives and pull out the master copies of all the original Super Bowl broadcasts and put them in the tape mixer and transfer it to digital and burn it to DVD, commercials and all!

They are fun to watch.

Teams still use this every now and then, it just isn't very effective anymore because players tend to stick to their lanes rather than everyone just rushing to the ball. I've even seen mishandles on the handoff end with disasterous results because of this.

What the heck, the refs are horrible. At 0:53 of the second quarter how was that a completed pass and not a fumble??? Thanks for that link btw, never seen one of these old time games unedited.

The Thanksgiving ones we wear are nice, but the best ones were the ones The Triplets wore w/the Stars on the Shoulders. Best. Jerseys. Ever.

I want Dallas to go back to wearing the true silver/grey pants instead of this aqua-silver crap.

Nice play. I need to brush up on my Cowboys history.

That is awesome... :)

Can you imagine, handing off to a linebacker on a reverse these days? Pat Summerall: "Henderson has 9.5 speed..." In yards, of course.

Pat and Tom Brookshire were probably drunk during that game, too... Or at least massively hung over.

This is so great!

Can you imagine... Brookshire is actually describing the game action, the blocking schemes, what the coaches are thinking...

How is that possible? I thought we had to have celebrity interviews, endless promotion of network shows, and lame pop culture jokes.

Oh waitaminit -- this isn't on ESPN.

I can't seem to find any reference that this was ever legal in the NFL. Are you guys sure?

Any chance I could copies of these said games? I'd LOVE to have them all on DVD with the commericals/after game ceremonies on DVD! PM me for sure!
