I want to say this before the Green Bay game

When I saw this team come out and play during the pre-season, I made a bet with my son that they wouldn't win more than 5 games. I was happy to lose that bet.

They have long ago exceeded my expectations for 2014; and with this win, I refuse to be disappointed if they don't win in Green Bay. I WANT the win, but I'm not going to beat up on them if they don't get it. Honestly, I think they could go all the way to the Super Bowl and win it. They don't quit (unlike a lot of their fans -- you know who you are *ahem*) But if they don't, and if it all ends next week, I'm very proud of what they've done this year. :starspin::starspin::starspin:

I hope and think they can win. But I will at least sleep okay if they don't.

I needed to see at least a win over Detroit in order to be okay with this season. Great win tonight.

If we make a Super Bowl appearance, Witten is solidified as a first ballot Hall of Famer, and Romo becomes an inevitable Cantonite.

This team has far and away exceeded expectations... any more wins are gravy...

I hope you had to pay up big. I hate that there is no repercussions to people that said the Cowboys would be terrible this season. All people that predicted less than 8-8 should have to stand outside in Green Bay naked during the next game.

I didn't think we'd do nearly as well as we have done thus far this season, but make no mistake about it. If we lose to the Packers Sunday I'll be disappointed.

This league is a week to week, year to year league and we have a team that is capable of winning the Super Bowl.

After watching teams of the likes of the 07' and 11' Giants, who weren't even the best team in their division, win Super Bowls, I am convinced that if you make the playoffs anybody can win it. That certainly holds true for us and I want a Super Bowl.

I understand what the OP is saying and I was right there with ya before the season started but we are here now and as fans we pay our money and probably lose years off of our lives with high blood pressure pulling for this team. I want a Super Bowl and will now be disappointed if we don't get it.

Yes. I said then that the offense has the talent to be terrific and if you look at each spot on defense, they had reasonable NFL players at most positions, just not Star players.

I was a bigger fan of guys like Mincey, T. McClain, Hitchens, Wilcox, etc.. than most people.

I've been a Cowboy fan since moving to Dallas as a kid in the late 80's. After they won their first SB of the 90's, I became a diehard, dedicated, 24/7 Cowboy fan.

Historically, I have been very optimistic during the offseason. I have convinced myself that the Shante Carvers and Ebenizer Ekubans of the world were the game changers we needed to turn the corner. I believed that Quincey Carter could be the young QB we could build a franchise around. I even thought that Pac Man Jones was going to be the key component to a sucessful playoff run. Oh... how I have been disappointed over the last 15 years.

This preseason that all changed. For the first time in my 20+ years of fandom, I knew there was no hope of success. A historically bad defense had lost it's two best players. Our QB had multiple back surgeries. We got the living crap kicked out of us in every preseason game. Hope was gone.

To be where we are today is one of the most shocking sports experiences of my life. It is truly sureal. I am high off that old feeling that I have long forgotten about... pride. I am so proud to call myself a fan of this team and this organization... and today, it feels great.

Not only am I not satisfied, I want it to be 1 degree and run it down the packer throats. I want Green Bay on the 1 yard line of Dallas late in the game like the ice bowl but the score 40-0 Dallas. Then, I will be satisfied.
