I want to see more of Gus Johnson

Of all the Cowboys running backs, Gus Johnson showed me the most in terms of making the most out of very little last night. Sure, he was playing vs the 49ers 3rd team, but I like his running style. He's also the biggest & most powerful of the tailbacks, & we could sure use more of that at that position. I'm hoping that Jason Garrett saw the same thing, & gives Johnson the chance to show what he can do behind the first team O-line in the preseason.

He isn't going to be afforded that luxury :(

If Dallas didn't have to weed through DMF, Randle and Dunbar......he might have a better chance. I would just release Lance and keep him around but I don't see them doing that.

Maybe they can sneak him onto the PS and bring him up as soon as one of them gets injured........which shouldn't take that long.

He isn't making the 53 man roster and Dallas doesn't want to show other teams that he may have some upside so they probably want to get him through the waiver wire and put him on the practice squad

I like Gus Johnson but there is a million Gus Johnsons out there.

You watch any preseason game and these guys are a dime a dozen.

I think last night was about trying to see who is going to be the starter. I don't think that Randle or McFadden have shown to be a short yardage back. If for no other reason, I think Johnson has a spot, at least until another capable option is shown.

I like him but he's practice squad bound. They love them some Dunbar until the season starts when he will be barely used.

The third down back is a valuable and I am sure they see plenty of Dunbar in practice, but I don't know why they don't give him the ball in preseason. Last preseason they did the same thing. You know Dunbar wants to show he can be more than a specialty back. Why not give him the ball 10-15 times in a preseason game and see how he responds. It is not like his role is invaluable where they can risk any injury to him.

They truly are. People fall in love with these guys but every team and organization has a couple of Gus Johnsons on it.

He either slips, fumbles or gets hurt. I'm sick of Dunbar. Cut him

Has McFadden shown to be any kind of a back?

He's a slower version of MB3. I actually think he'll be more useful to us than Dunbar.
